[ so... Garrus likes poking around the network. he likes it a lot. but it's the first time that he's actually... really gone through with the effort to make a post on on it. might as well start with the small talk. ]

so, i've been up for a while and i can't help but notice something.

there's a lot of humans around here. a lot of humans that are awake, and not so many of any other species. take me, for example. back home, as amazing as i am, i'm only one example out of billions of turians. here, i'm the only one.

if you ask me, it's a little strange.

does anyone have a good, sound, scientific explanation for this? like humans are more storm-proof, or something? and how many of you guys are the only ones of your species that are around? are you used to it? do you find it weird that the locals don't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary?

all i'm saying is there's a lot of questions.

I know of my own world, and it has many different species. Not merely animals, but varying sorts of people with their own traits and customs. Yet, I've only seen other humans thus far - myself, and one another. [ Some weirdo butler in full armor. ]

it's similar with us. we've got dozens of species all over the galaxy, but all i've seen is just the humans here. no one else. plenty from Earth too, but none of their other colonies.

[ but then again, maybe Earth was one of the last places hit by the Storm. ]

[ Right... Earth. Lucina is only passing familiar, but a lot of people here seem to be from Earth-centric societies.

"Galaxy", on the other hand - a word she understands even less. ]

Perhaps there's a reason for it. [ Like Vetra being the only other appable Turian. ] Admittedly, I'm not quite clever enough to imagine what that reason could be. It is not as if human people are any more worthwhile than their brethren.

it could be possible. our biology's pretty different from humans. [ this Saren erasure ] at least, i'd like to think that's the reason, rather than something insidious.

maybe it also has something to do with proximity to the Storm. i was off-planet when it happened.

[ Palaven was... really not in a good state either, what with the Reapers and everything. at least those guys seemed like they were wiped out with the Storm. ]
