As I am sure many of you are aware at this point there seem to be quite a few cultural differences here that many of us are slowly trying to accustom ourselves to upon arriving on El Nysa.
One of the more obvious ones is this planets interests in celebrating ones own... lascivious tendencies.
Surely I can't be the only one to be moderately agitated by the constant barrage of aphrodisiac laced trickery, both man-made and natural on this planet.

I suppose what I'm trying to bring to discussion is, everyone's personal responses to what's forced upon us. Especially those of us who live in Wyver who have no way to avoid it every time the end of the month roles around. You know, since it seems to be a time based situation over Olympia's more location based magic.

I merely brought it up here to warn those who may have been unaware before they did something they'd possibly regret. Also to commiserate with others who were also unamused by the concept of it.

Finding a solution or aid to the situation wasn't the original goal but it seems to slowly be turning into the case now. Seems someone's willing to create a counter-spell.

There's worse things that could happen than finding yourself with a consenting partner, isn't there? I don't really see the harm in it.

There's no harm in it for people interested in it. They can do their own goddamn thing behind closed doors and I wouldn't give a shit. Forcing the urge at people who don't want to deal with that sort of thing is gross.

Again, no one's forcing you do do anything. Do you get mad at a poison ivy plant when you accidentally step on it and get a rash?

If you don't want to do anything, don't.

Of course I do. Just because I did not know of it at first doesn't mean the damage hasn't been done. Nor would I be willing to go about my day with an unsightly rash, simply trying to ignore it. I will get an ointment to make sure that itch goes away as quickly as possible.

Just because I am capable of ignoring it doesn't mean I should simply tolerate it.

The matter of what's a 'big deal' is all bias to a singular persons perception. I know for a fact that certain things which aren't a big deal to me are pleanty enough of a big deal to others.

I suppose. But I'm fairly sure places around there will have strange issues of their own personal variety for me to deal with.

It's a consistant theme just about everywhere so I'm willing to look for a solution through alternate means.

If you're that determined, there's plenty of scientific methods that ensure you have no sex drive.

Since the effects origins are magical in nature I wouldn't wish to cause any unnatural side-effects that may occur with using a scientific approach. Also I do not wish to completely diminish a persons natural functions, simply rid the affect which are directly related to the spells that cause it.

I'm not about to trust "spells" either. Whatever's going on is all part of the natural environment.

Truthfully I trust magic more in a place like Wyver than any sort of science. Seeing as science is more of an Olympian thing in general the potion would probably just end up getting more dubious look than it already would get for being what it is.

And the last thing I need to be doing is making myself look even more suspicious with how high tensions between the two countries are.
