[Here's a young girl that looks like she wants to be doing anything other than this. She never even uses video. She barely even uses voice. But this kind of request probably would go better if people know who's asking.

There's no forced cheer in this. She appears and sounds annoyed.]

Hi. I'm Anemone. I'm one of those lucky sorts that crash-landed onto the isles. I had a roommate back then but he went back into Stasis a few months ago.

[She rolls her eyes up to the sky--she's outside, though there's a door behind her--and mumbles something under her breath before looking back to the camera.] I have one of those two bedroom basic houses and even that's gotten stifling without a roommate so I guess I figured I'd see if anyone needed a place, or had space for me and my pet.

I'm in Olympia.

[Well he's not wrong. She almost switches back to her default of text, but forces herself to remain.

She smirks, just a bit.]

I suppose you could say I'm coercing myself.

That's not how it works.
Self-motivation is a different matter entirely.

How do you know? Maybe I have voices in my head.

[She doesn't, but that's besides the point.]

Well, do you? Regardless, if you're trying to mock me, I don't really know what to tell you. I'm simply concerned.

[But mocking people is so much fun. Besides, it's a good way to weed people into different categories. She'll drop it, though. She doesn't really want to play up having fake voices in her head.]

Oh, relax, it's just fun. It's more than self-motivation though. I really didn't want to do this.

[ Sadly, the voices in Eren's head are quite real. As real as they can be. ]

If you didn't want to, then why are you? It doesn't strike me as something that you have to do, nor does it seem like it's especially "fun" to you.

[This is why she prefers text, because a moment later, her playfulness drops and she's looking awfully testy and she snaps out, where she'd normally have more control over her words. She could delete responses.]

The camera angle changes to Gulliver, but Anemone's voice can clearly be heard.]

Yes, fine, I have a pet, and he's going to sit on you one of these days!!

[ His reaction is...audible, to say the least. Thankfully, it goes unheard by the one who caused it. ]

I don't look forward to it.
But with that around, can you honestly say you're lonely?

[It's the best reaction, honestly, because it makes Anemone laugh, and so she stops shouting. The camera focuses back on her.]

He's Gulliver. And he's great to talk at and all, but he doesn't talk back. Even if my old roommate didn't talk a lot, we got along, and we respected each other's spaces but still could hang out and stuff.

[She shrugs a little sadly.]

...Also Gulliver can't pay half of the rent.

[You know. Actual priorities instead of just her feelings.]

[ Ah, so that's it. ]

So your reasons are monetary. I should have known.
I'm afraid I can't quite help on that front - not that I ever intended to.
I'm sure if you parade that Gulliver of yours around, you might make some extra coin.

Jeez, does everything need to have a singular reason? That's stupid.

[Though maybe she could make an act out of Gulliver.

It's a good thought... but no. It'd never work. Gulliver would never expend that much energy.]

The world would be an unreasonable place otherwise. I'd say being able to justify yourself is far less stupid than the alternative.

[She looks about ready to break something, probably her phone, and she finally switches over to text. It takes several minutes before she actually replies.]

The world is unreasonable either way. You can't hope that by making it simpler, focusing on one reason, that it's going to be anything else. It doesn't work that way. It NEVER works that way.

[ His first response comes quick, but with what she's given him he needs some time to properly respond. A short minute later: ]

I was wondering where you went. I didn't expect you to become so irate.
More to the point, I was just trying to say that everyone has their reasons. It's not a necessarily bad thing.
Don't think too hard about it. I hope you find someone that fits your bill.

[ Both metaphorically and...not. He was tempted to say "there's no need to be so overdramatic," but even he knows that's a bad idea. ]

That's not saying much. Then again, I shouldn't pry. It's impossible to know your circumstances in the life you lived before here.
