[Here's a young girl that looks like she wants to be doing anything other than this. She never even uses video. She barely even uses voice. But this kind of request probably would go better if people know who's asking.
There's no forced cheer in this. She appears and sounds annoyed.]
Hi. I'm Anemone. I'm one of those lucky sorts that crash-landed onto the isles. I had a roommate back then but he went back into Stasis a few months ago.
[She rolls her eyes up to the sky--she's outside, though there's a door behind her--and mumbles something under her breath before looking back to the camera.] I have one of those two bedroom basic houses and even that's gotten stifling without a roommate so I guess I figured I'd see if anyone needed a place, or had space for me and my pet.
I'm in Olympia.

Is someone coercing you to do this? You seem almost unwell.
video; un: theEND
She smirks, just a bit.]
I suppose you could say I'm coercing myself.
no subject
That's not how it works.
Self-motivation is a different matter entirely.
no subject
[She doesn't, but that's besides the point.]

Oh, relax, it's just fun. It's more than self-motivation though. I really didn't want to do this.
no subject
If you didn't want to, then why are you? It doesn't strike me as something that you have to do, nor does it seem like it's especially "fun" to you.
no subject
Because I'm sick of being alone!
I'm so sorry for this
brilliant
[Taste of her own medicine, she supposes. At least she'll consider it at another time, when she's not shouting.
The camera angle changes to Gulliver, but Anemone's voice can clearly be heard.]
Yes, fine, I have a pet, and he's going to sit on you one of these days!!
no subject
[ His reaction is...audible, to say the least. Thankfully, it goes unheard by the one who caused it. ]
I don't look forward to it.
But with that around, can you honestly say you're lonely?
no subject
He's Gulliver. And he's great to talk at and all, but he doesn't talk back. Even if my old roommate didn't talk a lot, we got along, and we respected each other's spaces but still could hang out and stuff.
[She shrugs a little sadly.]
...Also Gulliver can't pay half of the rent.
[You know. Actual priorities instead of just her feelings.]
no subject
So your reasons are monetary. I should have known.
I'm afraid I can't quite help on that front - not that I ever intended to.
I'm sure if you parade that Gulliver of yours around, you might make some extra coin.
no subject
[Though maybe she could make an act out of Gulliver.
It's a good thought... but no. It'd never work. Gulliver would never expend that much energy.]

The world is unreasonable either way. You can't hope that by making it simpler, focusing on one reason, that it's going to be anything else. It doesn't work that way. It NEVER works that way.

[ His first response comes quick, but with what she's given him he needs some time to properly respond. A short minute later: ]
I was wondering where you went. I didn't expect you to become so irate.
More to the point, I was just trying to say that everyone has their reasons. It's not a necessarily bad thing.
Don't think too hard about it. I hope you find someone that fits your bill.
[ Both metaphorically and...not. He was tempted to say "there's no need to be so overdramatic," but even he knows that's a bad idea. ]
no subject
Fine. Sorry.
[ffffffff]
Look, the person that nearly destroyed my planet tried to justify it and it's just. A sore point. Okay.
no subject
He only tried?
no subject
...I guess. Maybe he'd done more. He wasn't exactly talkative much with me.
no subject
The topic just interested me, is all.

Just don't tell people that you live in Olympia.

Hello again Anemone-san. What do you mean crash-landed into the isles? [Still trying to learn everything that happened...]
I wish I could offer space, but our house is rather full...honestly I feel like I'm the one who's intruding.
no subject
You got it easy getting down here, anyway.
no subject
[Well both sound science fiction-y enough for him, but still...]
So they were attacked...that's troubling.
[Welcome back to the subject at hand...]
I've been meaning to ask...your pet [Oh here it comes, the time when everyone asks what he is...] have a name? [Okay never-mind, it's Yu. #Priorities.]
no subject
[Courtesy of an old joke she would actually have an answer in regards to species.]
Oh, he's Gulliver!
voice | un; tracer.
[ just a little. ]

No-pe. Still just me. [What a drag. First impressions never go well for her. Probably the only reason she got a roommate the first time was because it was forced.] I think I'm starting a new job soon with a friend, but I'm not sure what it pays yet.
no subject
Well, if you did want one, I can throw my name into the ring. But that is only if you actually want a housemate.
no subject
You're the only name so... well I... [crud she doesn't know how this works why can't this be simple] I would like someone--however that would be easier for you?
no subject
I live alone at the moment so it's fine! The house gets kind of lonely without anyone else...
