002 - audio; un: mad-dog
[There's a bit of rustling and grumbling as Majima tries to set up his communicator; he doesn't use it as often as he should, so jumping back into a public posting has something of a learning curve. Finally, he clears his throat and gets down to business.]
So one crazy party made everyone on this planet real goddamn tense for the past few weeks. Thought they were used to that kinda thing.
Anyway, I don't really get this place's politics, but I do know it's been tough to get a place to stay in Olympia lately if you're livin' in Wyver. I don't really give a shit where you live, and I got an open couch, so if you need somewhere to crash for a day or two, I'm offerin'.
[He switches briefly to video, just to show the main room of his rather humble apartment, where a living room breaks off into a kitchenette. The only real decorations are an overflowing ashtray and a weird cookie jar on the kitchen counter.]
It ain't much, but you'll have it to yourself most nights. I work until last call. Just drop a line if you're interested. Er, only one person a night, obviously.

You ain't take takin' advantage of nothin'. [Which reminds him--] You go to Wyver every once in a while, right?
no subject
I meant when I go to Wyver, though I'm pleased you don't mind my stopping in now and then. But yes, I go to Wyver often enough. Why?
no subject
[Thank god they're masters of changing the subject around each other.]
But you got friends there to keep an eye out for you? That's good.
no subject
[He'll recognize that first name, anyway, though she wonders if he remembers much of the evening of the gala after their kiss.]
It's getting a bit more difficult to get in and out, though.
no subject
Which side is givin' you more shit about it?
no subject
[She shrugs.]
Though they're easier than some of the things I've heard Wyver citizens have to endure when they visit Olympia. In any case: I'm hoping it dies down soon. It's growing more and more inconvenient to teleport in and out of the city.
Have you tried to leave yet?
no subject
Dunno why the hell they gotta involve civilians in this kind of shit.
[Though he's hardly shocked. Politicians rarely run things as well as gangs do.]
Nah. Haven't really got reason to. I'm a simple guy, you know that.

[Teleporting wasn't so bad, was it?]
no subject
Dunno if my atoms have unscrambled from the last time, doc.

When's your next string of days off?
no subject
[He trails off uselessly and sighs.]
Dunno. Haven't asked for any.

But no, I've no interest in going after dragons this time. Bring some money, I'll have to find us a hotel.
no subject
If they'll let us check in, sure.
no subject
[She sounds dismissive. A beat, and then, wryly:]
And if they don't, we'll simply teleport in. That certainly worked well last time.
