So, hear me out.

[ Hear is all you can do anyway, as the Exile is big on not showing her face. ]

Would people be oh so opposed to grab your stuff and move somewhere else in the planet? Away from Olympia and Wyver and whoever else might be out there?

[ It's not exile if you leave willingly right? And if nobody kicks you out. ]

And before someone invites me to leave alone, I'm more interested in building something lasting. I can't do that by myself.

But ask yourselves this: would they let us? These powers that be. Just how much freedom we have?

Ask yourself, is it ever going to be a good time? Here I'm just hoping the next thing that happens to us won't kill anyone, to be honest.

and, okay, so his trust in them hasn't been the best lately, not for a while if he's being honest, but he can't help but feel extra cautious. ]

Besides, if those people are, you know. "The powers that be." Wouldn't us leaving them just make them angry?

So should we stay out of fear then? I don't think I could live with that.

[ But she knows that what she's asking might be a bit too much. ]

Still, it's a decision everyone needs to make on their own.

Well... wouldn't we be leaving out or fear, too?

[ it's not accusatory, but genuinely questioning. ]

Fear of what, exactly? Take into account that fear isn't always bad.

Fear of the unknown. Uncertainty. It sounds like you wanna leave because you don't trust what's here. Isn't that fear, too, in a way?

Distrust and fear aren't the same. I'm used to the big outsides.

Fear of things getting worse for us if we stay... maybe. But then you could say that everything we do is based on fear.

then you substitute "fear" with whatever other emotion you want to bank on.

If we can choose, then I think I want to bank on faith. If we've been brought here for some other reason other than what we've been told... then I can cross that bridge if we get there, I guess.

But for now, for me, there's too much at risk to strike out alone now. Not when so many of us are barely hanging on as it is.
