I seem to have found myself at a loss.
( going from lady to queen to normal person has been quite the ride for margaery, and in that time she hasn't exactly honed any skills that would be helpful towards living here. hunting, lookouts, fighting - none of those were exactly an expertise taught for the ladies of the land.
the lady-like hobbies that had been taught to her from a young age, outside of the time she had spent with her queen of thorns grandmother, were a far cry away from the many things being offered as jobs here, and margaery had to wonder how it was she was going to hold herself up here. too used to having everything on hand, she supposed she would be, despite the cruel way things were handled in westeros. )
My skills don't exactly lay in what would be entirely useful here. I was raised on more "lady-like" activities - sewing and tailoring, sometimes cooking. I was a... a Lady in my world, hardly a Knight or a fighter like my brother. ( she shrugs into the camera, as though to say 'what can you do'? ) If anyone knows of something that could be catered towards that, a job to support myself, then I would be most grateful.
( there's a slight pause where it looks like she's about to turn off the camera, and then — ) Or if you would be willing to teach me, I am a quick learner. I pick up things quickly and am willing to do most things. Anything would be much help.

( it's teasing, of course, and she says it with a smile. although suits weren't commonplace in her world - cloaks and formal vests being the largest part of it. it seemed as though only the ladies had similar dressing across worlds.
and if she wasn't already smiling, she would be now. )
Thank you. The clothes in my home are varying, especially from south to north, but they are all rather beautiful, in their own sort-of— retro way. ( whatever retro is. )
no subject
You're southern though, right? [ he leans forward, keenly interested in facts about her world. ] And then you've got the Starks in the North with all the fur.
[ he went investigating with the King in the North. ]
no subject
I am! From a place called Highgarden, though I moved to King's Landing some time ago. ( for a couple of marriages, you know, the usual. nbd. ) You've met a Stark, I assume? I know there are some here with us.
( is it appropriate to sing praises about sansa yet? )
no subject
Yeah, I met the King.
[ though he's but one of a few royals knocking about, if the network is to be trusted. ]
You guys know each other or something?
[ small westerosi world. ]
no subject
Robb Stark, you mean? ( the king in the north. she hadn't realised he was here. sansa hadn't said anything about it, though she didn't blame her - things had been quite busy for the lady stark. )
Not personally, though I know of him — I met his mother, and I am friends with his sister. He caused quite a stir in our world.
no subject
[ who knows if eggsy's humour was irritating or endearing. he often finds it's a bit of both. in truth, he only knows of robb's sister vaguely, as one of the sick, but margaery's phrasing of her connection to them is intriguing. ]
There was a bit of drama before the end of the world, huh?
[ seems like that's a recurring theme here. ]
no subject
( no one out-serioused jon snow. this was just worsened by the fact that he didn't trust margaery, and it showed in the way he looked at her and spoke to her. though she didn't exactly blame him - the south has hardly been kind to his family. )
Plenty of drama. Though I doubt our world knew how to exist without it, since it seemed to exist around every corner.
no subject
[ and he will. every snippet of information has value, after all. a moment later, he continues, and his features soften. ]
Sounds like it wasn't an easy place to live.
[ it's a testing statement, unsure of how much she wishes to disclose, although it's hard not to be curious when she emphasises how far-reaching the drama was in her world. 'course he doesn't understand much about westeros beyond shallow character assessments of the refugees and a tendency to spy on the network when he can't sleep at night. maybe margaery wasn't even involved with any trouble. ]
no subject
( margaery likes eggsy. he's been kind to her so far, helpful and funny — a friend she would say, if she were to push it that far. but much of the drama stemmed from her too, or happened around her or thanks to her. having a friend, not an ally, was a rare occurrence, and she hesitated to tell him her involvement in all of it. )
My ambitions and status left me in the centre of it, especially in King's Landing. Our royal family were not the kindest, nor the easiest to get along with, especially if you stood as a threat to their power.
( but perhaps she could also start trusting. that was something she had missed out on in westeros. )

from what he knows of margaery, she's charming and warm as anything, despite being a lady and likely recognising him as the, ah, common type. ]
I see. [ as much as he can, with his limited exposure to machinations of the caliber she describes. ] Though I might be biased 'cause I'd jump through bloody hoops, if it was you asking me to do it.
[ mostly injecting some humour into the conversation, though it suggests he understands, in his own way. if margaery was a threat, he can only assume she was more like tilde than valentine's accomplices: popular and therefore dangerous, if her views opposed the party line. ]
At least you don't have to deal with it here as much, yeah?
[ 'cause he could argue it's within his kingsman remit to assist her, if troubles from home have followed her here. ]
no subject
You're very kind. ( far more so than many of the people she knows at home, especially compared to the likes of joffrey or cersei. kinder even than the good people she knows, in fact. ) Thank you, Eggsy. Your words mean a lot.
( and he has a point. being here has been good, a step back from the politics and manipulations margaery had spent her life steeping herself in. it's been good for loras too, away from the sept and the punishments he had had to face, and margaery is grateful that he seems to be recovering.
it meant leaving everything behind, but nothing is worth the price of her brother. )
That's true. It feels calmer here, even if it isn't entirely.
no subject
without hesitation, he beams back at her. ]
Anytime, Margaery.
[ and he means that, although he clears his throat before he says anything else overly sincere. right, anyway. ]
Guess that's life, innit? [ never to calm. ] As soon as you're settled, you've got to move house.
[ from thesa to olympia to wyver. it's illustrative of the instability of their situation. ]
no subject
( outside of the inconvenience of it all, of course. but that is something margaery has become all too accustomed to. )
Life is always easier with support, yes?
( she has to ignore the lingering thoughts that, if it hadn't been for her, loras wouldn't have been through all he had. it's not worth thinking about. )
I feel I've spoken about myself too much. Will you tell me about your world?
no subject
I like the sentimental stuff, for the record. [ seeing as he remains intrigued by the snippets of herself and her world that she offers. and he's a sap, underneath the rough edges. ] But, yeah, alright.
[ his mouth dips back into a line as he considers what to tell her. ]
I'm from a city called London. And it's massive, yeah? Every part of it is completely different, and there are loads of people. Too many to ever know. [ he's doing his city a disservice by not saying more, but he doesn't quite have the words. ] I lived there with my mum and my little sister. [ at that, he smiles easily. ] Daisy. [ a beat. ] Sorry, I already started in on the people without much world talk.
[ his world is difficult to explain: see, he feels the version he knows best isn't the one that others would speak of, and his role in everything there seems small, after meeting so many key players from other worlds. ]
no subject
margaery likes that about him, she thinks. it's sweet and different. a step outside of the norm )
I'll keep that in mind. ( and she would. it's another small part of information about him she'll remember, something she tries to do for every person she meets. it's something she had been taught to do whilst growing up, mostly for less than kind reasons, but this time around... well, there's nothing to use in her favour, not when he's already so kind to her. )
London. Even the name sounds interesting. ( perhaps more creative than king's landing or highgarden, at least. ) It's perfectly fine. The people are part of your world, so it counts. ( it's nice, the obvious care he has for his sister. )
no subject
Clever. [ he's glad she indulges his sentimentality, regardless. not very many people do. ] Yeah, London's pretty great. Global center for culture [ a pointed tip of his head. ] and politics. Not that I was particularly involved. I'm more of a common type.
[ obviously. he shrugs, clearly unbothered by his self-classification. ]

Others here have spoken of many wonderful places in other worlds, yours included. It would have been a good experience to be able to see them. ( though she does have to wonder if she would ever wish westeros on others. highgarden definitely, her home is beautiful and she would love to show it off, but other places... well, she isn't sure. ) Though I suppose this one will have to do instead.
no subject
it doesn't suit him, but he keeps any frustration off his face. ]
Yeah, you explored much 'round here yet?
[ Wyver seems a bit seedier than Olympia, so he wouldn't be surprised if she hasn't. ]
The Dragon Cove's impressive, if a little spooky.
no subject
( it hasn't been a priority, to say the least. with sansa coming down with the illness, the struggle for a cure, and all the worry that came with the shift and hurt, margaery hadn't taken much time to do more than stick to the parts closest to her friends and family.
not that she had much intended to. there's a very obvious difference between the two places they had all been made to call home. )
I can handle spooky, especially from a place called Dragon Cove. They used to exist in my world, you know? Dragons... I did not live to see them, but apparently someone far away even had some alive.
( as much as margaery doubted the truth of it, every rumour had to come from some truth. ) Mere rumours, of course - who knows what the truth may be?
( she furrows her brows then, and shakes her head at herself. ) My apologies. I went off topic again. Perhaps a tour guide would be more helpful than wandering off on my own?
