I seem to have found myself at a loss.

( going from lady to queen to normal person has been quite the ride for margaery, and in that time she hasn't exactly honed any skills that would be helpful towards living here. hunting, lookouts, fighting - none of those were exactly an expertise taught for the ladies of the land.

the lady-like hobbies that had been taught to her from a young age, outside of the time she had spent with her queen of thorns grandmother, were a far cry away from the many things being offered as jobs here, and margaery had to wonder how it was she was going to hold herself up here. too used to having everything on hand, she supposed she would be, despite the cruel way things were handled in westeros. )

My skills don't exactly lay in what would be entirely useful here. I was raised on more "lady-like" activities - sewing and tailoring, sometimes cooking. I was a... a Lady in my world, hardly a Knight or a fighter like my brother. ( she shrugs into the camera, as though to say 'what can you do'? ) If anyone knows of something that could be catered towards that, a job to support myself, then I would be most grateful.

( there's a slight pause where it looks like she's about to turn off the camera, and then — ) Or if you would be willing to teach me, I am a quick learner. I pick up things quickly and am willing to do most things. Anything would be much help.

[ He can relate, more than a little. After all, even before this place, he'd been 'transported' in a way into a new world with no marketable job skills. ]

Given the kind of clothing you're wearing and the society you're describing, I'd guess that you have a decent amount of organizational skills and probably more than a fair helping of political ability.

Given all the people and all the moving, I bet there'd be something for you in organizing things, figuring out logistics, and helping to keep a lot of varied people in a tense, difficult situation calm and orderly.

I know the locals are handling most of things, but there's something to having representatives... well, more like all of us. Maybe you could look into that.

[ He shrugs a little. He's run a superhero organization; he knows how difficult it is to keep people, especially strong-willed people, in line and how valuable the skill can be. ]

Origins, yes, but... there's only so many people who can keep any secret. And the more people get better, the more people there'll be.

Might as well starts somewhere.

[ That gets a FIRM headshake. ]

Oh no. I've done the whole 'herding cats' thing myself. I'm... not the best at it, honestly. And it didn't last.

I took that as a sign.

[ Technically, the sign should have read 'Carter Hall is a douche' but Sand tries not to keep grudges. He has a long memory, though. ]

Yeah.

[ He actually looks pretty cheerful about this. ]

I'm working for the Simwe Institute, or I was. Not sure what I'm gonna do over in Wyver but I've got a few skills. I'll figure something out.

[ Something winds up in his head, visible in his face, before he offers a bow of his head. ]

And normally, I've got manners. Sorry about that. Sanderson. Sanderson Hawkins, ma'am. Pleasure to meet you, for a given use of the word.

That's what I'm figuring. Or I can go back to doing detective work. Never had a badge proper, but there's a first time for everything.

[ He pauses and then, trying to be helpful- ]

Constable. Or investigator, if that makes sense.

And I don't know if I'd say 'incredibly' helpful. I just gave you an idea. Hopefully, it'll pan out. For everyone's sake.

Pretty much.

[ Universal constant: law and order. It's a good thing they don't need to see any credentials from him. ]

I'll be curious to see how it goes. And, well, I'm never going to turn down a new acquaintance.

Seems a little silly, considering.
