[ The video begins with a scene that may not be much of a surprise for some who have been experiencing hallucinations: two individuals in the midst of fighting in their disease induced state, more specifically Juvia Lockser and Rin Okumura if anyone manages to catch a glimpse of either faces. One demonstrates powers of manipulating water, the other engulfed in blue flames.

For the one showcasing this the entire scene is an absolute riot. ]

Okay everyone, these two are apparently going to fight to the death. [ A lie, ultimately, he's well aware that they're both sick. ] Watch your step if you come through the residential district~ I've already dirtied my clothes trying to separate them. [ He speaks calmly despite this, lazily, with little hint of amusement in the tone of his voice as each sentence ends with a drawl. ]

So who are you betting on? The child with the lackluster swordsmanship skills or Shark Girl? Nothing lower than five silver and you better make it quick.

[ The view then dips, anyone familiar with the man behind the device might presume that he's tired and they'd be absolutely right. In fact those unfamiliar may even overhear him sighing as the two continue their fight. It lasts for several minutes with Crowley stepping to the side when a stray bullet of water or flame comes in his direction, one only earning so much as a whistle when it came close to catching onto his clothes. ]

One of them's gotta pass out soon. Probably in another— [ five minutes.

He was being generous, apparently, because both end up dropping like flies within seconds.

Breathing out something equivalent to a chuckle, he isn't in much of a rush as he advances forward. ] I'm just gonna say that Lava Lamp went down first, so whoever bet on him can just leave their money at my doorstep. Hey, don—

[ And then the feed comes to an abrupt end. ]

[Unseen and unheard is the LONG SUFFERING SIGH of someone who probably saw this coming, but still had a small hope that maybe it wouldn't come to this. He doesn't need to see Rin's face to know who those blue flames belong to.]

[...and also a sigh of disappointment that he missed out on what must have been the best part of the fight, what a shame.]

Oh my, are you still there?

[ It'll take a few minutes but soon enough what he'll see is still not Crowley. Instead it's Rin laid out like a corpse with a towel over his face. It lasts briefly before he permanently moves to the voice function. ]

I am, but the kid?

[ Alive and breathing. ]

He's dead.

[meinwaifu]

[Please, as if a water witch or some silly plague could kill a god. Even if he is only half.]

[Dramatically--] Oh, what a tragedy! And he was so young! Do you suppose they'll charge the young lady with murder? Or has this terrible plague claimed yet another innocent life?

[eusford]

[ Give him a few minutes, because apparently despite making an ass of him Crowley still manages to have some consideration for the (not) dead and he carried both back to their respective apartment. ]

I really wish it'd had, but I've got a bet with the girl and I've ordered her not to die. As for murder... hm, probably. But that's no skin off my nose.

[meinwaifu]

[All these mysterious gaps of silence!! Maybe he'll just teleport over and see if anything is even left of their apartment, seeing as Rin's flames were involved... is Crowley still there? He might hear an echo.]

You wish it had? My, how cold! Is that really the sort of thing you should be saying outloud in times like this?

What are they gonna do? Arrest me?

[ Unlikely. His lack of consideration of recent events comes from the fact that he's out of touch from any human emotions, and so he's not afraid of speaking confidently. ]

I'm not letting her die so there's no problem.

[meinwaifu]

Goodness, I should hope not! But I was speaking more in terms of your reputation. It reflects poorly on a man to appear so openly apathetic towards the lives of others.!

[Says the demon...]

You don't have to worry about all that.

[ He chuckles lightly, his tone a little lighter. ]

I came here knowing I'd be an enemy to the people here, and I've been this way from the very beginning. If they're sick then get rid of them. It's just how the laws of survival works.

[meinwaifu]

Well, then! So long as you're already aware of it, that's fine. Even if I can't say I agree.

But for curiosity's sake, would this opinion of yours hold true if you were to fall ill as well?

[ Without missing a beat: ] Of course. I mean I wouldn't want to, but there's plenty of things in life I didn't want to happen.

[ And admittedly? Being struck with an illness sounds better than being exposed to the sun. ]

At most I'd just be a little pissed.

[Okay, he busts up laughing at that. What even is this guy?? Did he just stumble upon a fellow demon? The lack of self-preservation may not fit, but that steadfast logic and apathy certainly do.]

Hahah! At least no one would be able to call you a hypocrite!

I mean I've died before. It doesn't really matter that much to me at all. [ Kinda... his heart hasn't had a solid beat for over eight hundred years, so in some persons perspective he's still "dead". ]

Do you know the kid?

Oh, my condolences! That's never fun.

[His tone is light and joking, but that's probably the only truthful thing he's said so far. He knows what it's like too, after all.]

Ah, but you could say that. Not that we're very close, mind you. But he's someone I've been keeping an eye on here and there.

Makes sense. [ Or else someone who'd actually care would show some signs of concern. Though this person seems to take the situation lightly, almost equally as much as he does. ]

He and the girl are both sick. I dunno if this whole fight was because of it but I'd keep that watchful eye of yours at a more reasonable distance, if you catch my drift.

Oh, what's this? Could it be the boy has made a miraculous recovery from his untimely death!?

[Yeah, he's not even pretending to sound concerned at this point, practically snickering. He's just a voice on the network, after all.]

[ He's lived a good eight hundred years to know what bullshit sounds like. ]

He's got more lives than a cat, if he's been living with this girl the whole time. Though I'll tell him you were worried about his well-being, I'm sure he'd love to hear something from his dad.

[Oh my god]

Oh yes, please tell him daddy is very worried about him.

[ For a moment he nearly wants to crush his phone.

But then he decides that sending the first few seconds of him harshly rubbing his device against the wall, causing a displeasing sound to be sent to the other end before he stops. ]

I know it's a joke but don't ever say that again.

[Wow, that sound is almost as obnoxious as the laughter coming through from Mephisto's side.]

Hahah! My, was that too much for you? How does the old saying go? Don't dish it out if you can't take it?

There's just some things you don't say, and in this day and age unless you're a child you don't say daddy.

[Well, good to know Crowley isn't into daddykink at least.]

Well, if you didn't want to hear something so distasteful, then perhaps you shouldn't go around making assumptions about people! Or telling lies, for that matter.

Now now, I did say we weren't very close. But rest assured, I'm plenty concerned for his well-being. After all, I'm not the one recording his death throes and taking bets on his survival.

[He's calling him out and all, but he's also kinda impressed by the sheer apathy this guy has.]

Ah, but just how is it that you know Mr. Okumura?

Listen. [ ... He's got no excuse. Whatever. ]

One time he dropped a thing of hay on me because apparently his perspective and reading levels skills are practically eye-to-eye.

[Okay, that's definitely not the answer he expected--]

[It's even better than expected. He laughs again.]

My, I can't say I'd disagree with such an assessment! But in that case-- should I be perhaps viewing this as a small act of revenge against him?

Definitely not, the kid ended up doing all my work so the last thing I want is revenge. If it was that deep I'd just kill him.

[ Plus he's only really bitter towards one person. Two if you want to get into specifics. ]

He's just easy to tease and I know when he wakes up he'll scream about this and I'll get a good laugh out of it.

Well, I suppose we're lucky it hasn't come to that!

[An oddly calm response to someone casually saying they'd kill a guy.]

But you're right -- he does make for good reactions. Why, if you'd like a really big one, then by all means, tell him just how worried I was about him.

Gotcha, I'll be sure to tell him his ever-considerate uncle worried about him so much that he didn't even flinch when I faked his death. I'm sure he'll weep of joy.

[ It's not seen but he shrugs. ]

It's better to just let them duke it out anyway. Kids that age need to get rid of all that energy.

[Suggests that pretty mildly, not all that committed to convincing him. Might head over there to check in on Rin though... from a distance.]

Why're they fighting in the first place?

Nah. If anyone cared to help out then they probably would have done it a long time ago.

[ Probably. But he isn't going to go into great detail of how humans are more likely to protect themselves before anyone else by instinct. ]

Dunno, they were shouting names I've never heard of left and right at each other. But I remember Juvia telling me she was sick so there's a chance that the illness has made them more hostile... or something. Your guess is as good as mine, for all we know this could just be a sparring match.
