[ A familiar greeting, not that anybody is familiar with him! His voice is gruff and tired, but that's his everyday voice. ]

That guy everyone's been chasing after is dead. [ A slight pause, and in a softer tone: ] Killed himself.

He gave some details to the cure, though. Said that we need a plant called the Oshai Leaf for it, and it can only be found in Wyver.

Wyver's been hit with the same disease, too. No idea what the situation's like there, but they can't find the cure for it either. Another ingredient for the cure can only be found here.

That's all I know. If you've got questions, ask. I'll try to answer 'em.

[ The sound of liquid hitting metal can be heard, but that's just him moving his flask closer to his mouth. ]

[ The androids in Remnant were created to protect the world, too. In the end, they got hacked and started shooting the innocents and those who made them. It was a tragedy. It's why Qrow isn't very pleased with them. ]

You got the machines for that?

[ To extract data and all, he means. ]

[ 9S is no longer naive enough to think that androids are right about everything. His world was full of androids, but they're not nearly as common here. He knows he's an oddity to a lot of fellow refugees, so the idea of an android being part of the enemy could easily cloud their perception of him too. This is his home now. He can't let that happen. ]

I'm a Scanner model. Hacking is what I do best and I have all the tools I need to do it.

I don't know how androids work, but that guy downed a cyanide pill.

[ Qrow isn't sure if 9S understands the connotation, but he continues. ]

Wouldn't the poison corrupt his system?

A cyanide pill? How would that cause him to die?

Depending on how it was dispersed, it might contaminate some of his inner components. Any data storage should be separated from that for safety purposes, if that kind of android was designed with any sense.
