hello!
my name is jade harley and i should probably keep this as simple as possible, so i will be quick

prior to waking up after the storm i had a lot of interesting and incredibly cool abilities
i am the witch of space so i can alter space at my will, it is super cool and i do not even need a fork to eat cake with!
these abilities included things like flying, growing and shrinking people, material items and planets
however after waking up i found that my abilities were...........
well altered in some way! :o
it is very mysterious and i am curious if anyone else is having this problem

in particular, i can no longer fly for long periods of time
i also seem to have limitations on how small or large i can grow things
i suppose it stands to reason that after the storm, well...
things would change for me
but i guess i was not expecting this in particular :\
if anyone else has experienced this phenomena, i would greatly appreciate it if you spoke up!

it may also be worth it to consider discussing what kind of abilities we all have
who knows what will be helpful!
perhaps i will keep a little document for our benefit, just in case :)
it doesnt havent to be something impossible sounding, i think even being well read in certain things is amazing!
knowledge is so cool

oh and i guess it is becoming commonplace to say where we are working
im an herbalist working at the plant nursery so if you would like to talk about plants sometime, i am your girl hehehe!!! :D

also if anyone wants to show me some games i would appreciate that
i am finding it a little bit difficult to find board games here and i miss playing them :(

[Rose a little beyond the point of hiding anything. Let them see. Even if the Orbiters really do have the best intentions, they can't imagine that everyone will simply believe that without question. For her part, Rose has learned her lesson about blindly trusting in godlike beings.]

It may be "smart", but it certainly doesn't make me trust out hosts any more.

it would be smart for anyone planning to make sure i am not a problem for them
but to be honest, i intend to be a problem for anyone trying to cause problems for us from now on
so it does not particularly matter if they take anything from me
actually, i am more than a little bit tired of having things taken from me :/

in any case, i dont think we can make assumptions about our hosts at this point in time
and..........
i think we should give them a fair chance until they prove that we cannot trust them

i dont think these are like the horrorterrors
for one they are not dying as far as i am aware
which does kind of imply they are not starting the game with a mulligan of sorts

[ Which means that they could be dealing with something on par with Lord English rather than dark gods.

Or a combination of them.

Jade would like to hope their hosts are on the same side as them, in that case. ]

Are we even certain of that?
We were dumped on this planet because of some attack they were apparently barely able to hold off.
What was the enemy?
What force could be great enough to give trouble to godlike beings that could even pluck us all from entirely alternate universes?
Even if our hosts aren't outright malicious, being backed into a corner can turn a being to desperation and lying all the same.
I only want to confirm such possibilities aren't the case before trusting in them fully.

i dont think we can trust or distrust them entirely
suspicion is one thing but until we know for sure, we cannot act
or assume really
i think that in terms of godlike beings being threatened
we would probably be the first ones to ask about that :p
and as we know from experience things that are threatening us are things that are very dangerous
but
well.....
i think everyone on the station is safe :)

I'm willing to believe they're all safe as well.
My concern is more in whether that's because our hosts are simply that kind, or because they might need hostages in the future.
I'm not accusing anyone of anything or suggesting we act rashly on these possibilities alone, but I'm less inclined to simply wait and see when those people on the Station are sitting vulnerable in the hands of an unknown element.
Can you really rest easy knowing John might be in that situation?
Or Dave?
Your grandfather?
I think I'll go mad with the uncertainty if I'm not doing something to try to be sure of anything.

dont get me wrong!
but it is exactly because our friends and family are there that i dont think i can do anything until i am sure
the best i can do at the moment is see if there are any patterns regarding my limits and anyone elses
but........
yes it is frustrating
but i cannot do anything until i have the information i need

[ Because she does remember how often Rose took matters into her own hands. And that's fine, because this time, at least, Jade can try to help - Rose doesn't have to go into these things alone. Her powers are so cool! Maybe the coolest! But they're pretty much bogus if she can't use them to help her friends. ]

I can promise that much, at least.
I don't intend on acting until I'm sure either.
But I do intend to investigate in whatever way possible in hopes of finding something to be certain about.
I will not simply sit back and wait for the answers to arise on their own.

or the people here in olympia, since we are not supposed to talk about our worlds for some reason

I don't get any feeling that the locals are untrustworthy.
In the grand scheme of things, that is.
I'm sure they all have their own agendas and goals, and some of those may run counter to each others'.
But as far as our being here goes, and everything involving the Storm and whatnot, they do seem truly clueless.
Our orders for silence on that subject are presumably just to avoid making ourselves look delusional.
It makes sense.
Whatever our hosts' true goals are, they seem to rely on us being able to fit in with this society.

If everything we've been told is true, then presumably this world would cease to exist the same as all others, but there would be no otherworldly beings to save us all this time.
Whether or not everything we've been told is true, however, is one of the things I intend to investigate.

yes i am curious about that also...
it sounds very similar to the scratch
if that is the case then it is possible there is information being withheld
specifically the part where it is a rewrite!
but then why would you hide that information???
