( this is her first appearance on the network, but Diana might be recognizable to some all the same. she was easily spotted wandering the halls of Thesa Station, especially in the halls of the sleeping. considering her height and easy confidence, she does tend to draw attention as she moves around Olympia as well. even if she isn't recognizable, she might be after this.

while she's unused to this method of communication, she's tinkered with it enough to master it. at least enough to accomplish what she means to say. she speaks cleanly, and with clear purpose. )

Greetings. I am Diana. ( it's taken some doing, but she did manage to say her name without spitting out titles and who her mom is. someone should give her points for this. ) I come with a request for aide.

Our landing was made in haste, and damage was wrought from the lack of planning. We all remember the scars left on the land, the devices we left behind in our wake.

Considering our work here must be performed in secrecy, I suspect it would be wise to clean up what we can before the residents of this planet find it. Beyond that, we might be able to scrap and make something of the devices we were ejected in, and do something for the destroyed field that softened our landing.

If you would aide me in this, I would have your name. I suspect the sooner we start, the better. If you believe your hands will be of help, then they will be welcome.

[ he returns her smile, though he looks off-center, not quite at her eyes, and hums in thought. ]

I'll need to take a closer look when we return and clear the debris, as I was a bit preoccupied when we arrived. Replacing foliage should be easy enough, [ tipping his head. ] unless our landings scorched the earth.

[ in which case, they have a long-term gardening project on their hands. ]

( oh dear. while Diana can't speak to every pod, there are at least a few she knows of that burned. )

I witnessed at least a handful of fires. Will that change things? Will we still be able to restore it?

[suffusive]

[ he cards a hand through his hair, but he doesn't appear overly concerned or bothered, at least. pensive, perhaps. ]

Ah, that would depend on how deeply it burned. [ another smile, meant to reassure. ] Anything dead must go, I'm afraid. And we may have to clear the ashen soil and replace it with more fertile ground. [ a beat. ] Tending to it will take time, but it's not impossible to restore, by any means. Few things are.

[wondie]

( well, that is a relief. and, as long as they were in this place, they had time to work on it. )

Then it will be done. Whatever it takes. I will see this land restored, no matter the effort it will require.

( she's bizarrely invested in this, but let's be honest, Diana is bizarrely invested in a lot of things. )

[ whoa, diana, that is... oddly inspiring. newt cares deeply for the environment and the creatures it hosts, so he mouths a small 'o', surprised to find someone so ostensibly altruistic. ]

It's good of you to lead this effort. [ he blinks. ] You were, ah, very impressive when we first fell as well.

[ fell. he means in the first wave. with the super strength, like steve, catching pods as if they were cards in exploding snap. ]

( stubbornly altruistic might as well be her middle name, it's just that amazons don't have those. or last names, for that matter. )

Organizing, perhaps. I do not think much leading will be required. ( not that she won't, she just finds no need to meddle when independence is an admirable quality. she isn't expecting the reference to their landing, looking passingly confused. )

Thank you. Much of it is a part of my training, though to be truthful there is much of what I can do that I do not entirely understand. ( her strength is sort of a new-found thing, and nobody had any time to explain it to her until she was striking out on her own in the world of men. )
