Do people often find gifts here?

The people who brought us here are really not bad. I thought they might be, because my experience with that sort of thing isn't the best. I admit I was skeptical until now. I thought this was like a prison.

So. Right. I got a gift. And powers. What all did you get?

Someone left me a new headwrap. It has designs on it... that remind me of my home.

You're sure it wasn't Clarke or John or someone? I mean. Might have been one of them and they got it because it reminded them of home too? I dunno.

But -- wait what?

John's gonna kill me because people are calling him by his first name. And Clarke lets me live with her but I don't think we're close enough for presents.

It's a ... werewolf?

Oh, so most people don't call him that? It's just what I've heard you use all the time, is all.

Are you sure that's...safe?

[Even if Rosie came to defend her and didn't seem so bad, dogs and the like are still something Clementine is getting over her fear of, given her bite she got from one years ago.]

I call him John. He insists everyone else call him Murphy. I don't think I've ever called him Murphy. I call him John because he's mine.

I didn't hurt Frank the other night.

Guessing I'm probably not an exception like you are.

But uh. That's. That's good? An encouraging start?

I guess it shows that I don't hurt people I like at least?

Yeah, that's good. Does it just happen the once a month? I guess...you'll find that out.

It happens whenever I think about turning into a wolf.

So you can control it? I guess that's good? Better than you not having control, or having to prepare like every month. I thought that was it, the moon or something.

[From vague stories she might be kind of familiar with, though she was only eight before her world went to chaos, so.]

I was just guessing. I figured if it reminded her of home that might be why someone from home might have got it for her?

We don't need any reminders. I know I certainly don't. You're Clementine, right?

From what I've gathered, what she's said, I wouldn't blame you. But clearly someone thinks you need reminders. Or at least, that Emori does for some reason. But yeah, that's me.

It's probably the same people who gave her the ability to turn into a wolf. You get anything from here yet?

Not yet? Should I expect something though?

Why are you asking me? I'm not the one giving people things.

It wasn't me either— it's something that I've found that happens occasionally in this place though with getting things from home or unexpected powers.

[darraig]

Like them giving me that photo from home I thought I'd lost.

Yeah— things like that seem to be common.

I'm....not sure if that is reassuring or not.

[Depending on what they might get back?]

Personally I don't find it reassuring at all. [and it is still something she doesn't trust]

I'm not sure either. I mean. I appreciate having the photo back, but. It's also kind of creepy?

[That somehow, they knew about Lee being important to her. That she had lost the photo years ago.]

Yeah, I agree because for as much as it is appreciated getting back things that are important to us— it's really unsettling they know so much about us.

It's like they're using it as tactic to make us lower our guard about being brought here.
