A bit of a vague question, I know. But out of curiosity, how advanced was the technology from your homeworlds? Is it close to how things are here on El Nysa? Or was it something closer to Thessa Station?
How difficult was it for you all to adjust to your lifestyles here because of it?
[Just a casual question. There's no ulterior motive or purpose to this what-so-ever.]

So wait, you mean wizardry is a purely learned skill then? Like just anyone can become a wizard with the proper learning?

Essentially. There are some who have no aptitude for it whatsoever, but as far as I am aware, almost anyone could learn. It does require a teacher and intensive study for at least a decade, but yes.

[So roughly the amount it would take to get past the bar exam or to get one's doctorates, right?]
So, essentially, even someone like me could even learn.
Right?

Ah, I see. Well, was worth a shot to ask.
Ah well! Knowing my luck it's probably for the better that I don't learn things that could possibly get me in trouble.
[The last thing he needed was to end up in yet another freak accident. He's dealt with enough of those in his life.]

[ maybe he could learn that. ]
