I decorated a little tree last year.

It wasn't a pine tree but I was able to find some shiny trinkets to put on a plant.

Huh. Guess that's one way to make do.

You have people who celebrate it with you last time? It ain't like it's a completely universal thing, especially in a world where it's not even a known holiday. I can't imagine it would be easy.

I had my friend Peter and a few others who played along because there's nothing to dislike about lights and gifts.

Hmn, suppose that is true. People are fairly easily distracted by flashy things.

[Reminds him of how often his old travel companions would try to force him to celebrate it. Those bastards weren't even Christian.]
