So, it's that day again. But I haven't changed at all, I don't think. Aren't I supposed to be getting taller? Surely, by now, I should be taller! Stronger...or something.... [ Mumble, grumble ]

This is the second birthday I've passed since waking up out of stasis in this place. Isn't that —

[ Suddenly, at the mention of "birthday", the Man in the Background jumps up and moves, seemingly hightailing it out the door which causes Waver to whip around and blink, his Profound Thoughts gone. ]

[He blinks at that and shifts the cake so he can look down at the rest of his body. Sure enough, he most certainly has no put on any clothes.]

Ah! I was in such a hurry to get you a cake that I forgot!

[He puts on a grin after and goes to put the cake down on the table. Nope. Still not getting dressed. He's home now so clearly clothes are no longer necessary! Logic.]

Come, boy! It is time to celebrate this birthday of yours with wine and cake!

[ he stares and watches Rider walk off butt naked like it's the most normal thing in the world.

It's not though! He has that thing just swinging out in the open!!! ]

[ Waver bats his hand away. ]

I am not sure what that has to do with the fact that I am naked presently.

[He smiles fondly at him.]

It just does, okay?!

[ He turns bright red at that question. Wh-what's that supposed to mean... ]

I... the cake is my gift, isn't it?

The cake is because birthdays in this age seem to involve cakes! And presents!

[He goes to take a napkin and turns it into a bow that he puts on his own head.]

There! I am a present now! Just for you!

It would have been good enough for me...

[ He kind of mumbles that, looking off to the side. Suddenly when he's looking back at Rider, the man has a bow on his head.

What the heck, he has no right to do something cute??? Waver blinks a couple of times and then raises his hand to his mouth with a pffft. He can hardly even be embarrassed anymore at such a sight. ]

You're... you're ridiculous.

[Iskandar grins wider as he plants his hands on his hips before lowering his head down lower.]

Would you like to unwrap your present? This is all I have for wrapping presently but I think we can count it.

S-stupid, there's nothing to unwrap!

[ He swipes the "bow" off Rider's head and tosses it down. There, he did it, okay?? ]

[You know what he decides to do now? Do you?

Probably not.

But he definitely is ready to show him.

By leaning down quickly and suddenly to plant a kiss right on Waver's lips.]

[ No, he has no idea what's coming.

It freezes him up in utter surprise, and he just stands there for a moment, like a statue.

Then he slowly turns red from head to toe. His heart is beating wild! ]

[And he grins. Like this is the most obvious thing in the world.]

[ Gosh, Rider. Make everything difficult why don't you. ]

But why?! I-I mean, you didn't have to do that...

Because I like you. Why wouldn't I kiss someone that I like?

[He thought that should be obvious.]

[ He's still red in the face. Because of course he has a huge crush on Rider even if he won't admit it. ]

[Well now he grins and leans forward so they're more at eye level again.]

[ WOW so close... ]

[He laughs softly then cups his face before leaning in to kiss him again.]

[ He tries so hard not to blush furiously, but fails spectacularly. And he's probably terrible at kissing back but he tries! ]

[Waver really is awful but he doesn't mind at all. He just patiently keeps going before pulling back again.]
