There's not a lot to see in the way of personal touch, largely because she's not showing that to anyone with the camera. Instead, it largely focuses on her, her red and blue eyes looking curious as she makes sure she's in focus before speaking. She couldn't possibly have this in poor quality now can she.]

Good evening. A matter has come to my attention that I have found myself rather curious about.

Not that long ago, a fair few of us took part in the training simulation provided to us. Through it, we were given powers or abilities. Now, this is something one would believe to be left behind in the simulation but it would appear that is not the case.

[Something she is familiar with since she appears to be among the number of those with a new ability.
Which brings her to the heart of this matter.]

And so, I would ask who among you has obtained new abilities through this simulation? If you have then I would also be curious to know what you can do now with these abilities.

No. I'll figure it out by experimentation on my own. I mean, what's the worst that will happen?

I could name everything that would qualify as "the worst" but it would merely be a waste of time for the both of us.

Rather, I would like to offer to be there when you do these experiments. As a geneticist, I have dealt with matters of unusual developments in the body. There is also the matter of me having medical knowledge which could allow greater testing of these abilities of yours while allowing you to recover faster. Perhaps on the spot depending on the situation.

The insight would be beneficial to you as well as to myself.

I thought geneticists were skinny people huddled over a work bench or a PCR turtle all for the name of science. Do they actually do gene therapy in your world because mine sure as hell hasn't jumped the 'morality debate'. I think you just want to be amused with bones coming out of me that I can probably use as weapons.

My work has always been known to be controversial since I do not wish to be held by the bindings of morality. For this reason, I have produced results others could not. If other scientists wish to limit themselves to pathetic quandaries over experiments that they cannot advance due to the moral implications then they don't care for what science can truly show to us.

So no. This is not for my amusement. This is for my own research to see what we are truly capable of.

So you're willing to push science to the limits no matter the cost or the sacrifice of others, huh? 'Cause that's what it sounds like to a lowly non-scientist like me. If it makes you feel disappointed, I was perfectly normal before I arrived here.

You may believe what you will. It is my belief that science will unlock the truth to the mysteries we hold in the world. To limit ourselves by the morality of it all is only to be held back by fear. If that is not to your liking then you need only say no.

As for my disappointment, I wouldn't me. Rather, I would be more intrigued.

People do fear the unknown. The human imagination is far worse than any monster created. I don't have a problem with extremes. In some cases, I think they are necessary and the right course of action. Curiosity killed the cat. Or so I heard.

If it is science that kills me then a discovery will still have been made.

What if you get taken out for the science that you create? Will you still have made discoveries? A theory of how this shit works would probably help?

There will always be risks. It will not change the fact that I have made discoveries and shared them with the world.
