Bzzt. Your phone is buzzing, but it doesn't seem to be due to receiving any calls or texts. Upon opening your device, the vibration will stop — however, there will be a faint sound of static as you navigate through it, as though it's been tampered with. Anyone tech-savvy would discover fairly quickly that it's nothing of major concern — nothing's going to explode, thankfully — but it won't take an expert to realize that there's something very different about the network.

All names on your contact page have been erased, leaving only unidentifiable numbers and letters behind. They will constantly change, making it impossible to attach these codes to one person.

Some recent posts on the network may also experience this interference: names will be missing, voice recordings erased, and videos so heavily filtered that you would not be able to see the poster's face. Those old messages in your inbox remain mostly untouched, but any incoming messages will certainly be affected by this strange phenomenon.

Not too long into the morning, however, a new voice will appear on the network. The speaker is unaffected by the phenomenon — has she come with answers?

Well, this is unfortunate. As infallible as the Natha claim to be, it would seem that their technology is not backwards-compatible with our networks after all. You may experience some interference with your communications while we work this out, but do not be alarmed. I assure you, this is only temporary.

— Perhaps not. The woman doesn't even identify herself before disconnecting altogether. Well, there are worse things that could be happening, but one thing is for sure: this won't be the last time you'll hear from her.

In the meantime, all network activity may be anonymous, at the player's discretion. You may use this post as an pseudo-anonymous post as well as branch out to misfires in personal inboxes or other network posts. If you opt to have your character post (accidentally) anonymously, please indicate so in the subject line. There will be no usernames displayed. For voice and video, the audio may be distorted and faces altered with strange filters. Feel free to be as creative as you please!

[ The video isn't focusing on a person, but is instead focusing on a pseudo-occult set-up. There's a black sheet of cloth on the ground, with a ritual circle drawn on it with what looks like paint pen or fingernail polish. A set of tarot cards sits in the middle of the ritual circle. Two adorable candles (one shaped like a cat, one shaped like a dog) sit in the top left and right corners of bootleg witchcraft. ]

The cursed unluckiness of my phone being broken has turned into a blessing in disguise! Y-You needn't worry! The Death card doesn't mean literal death. It'd be pretty stupid if it did, then nobody would get their reading done again. It's more of a sign of endings or change. It's a card of transition. Obviously, there's some pretty big transitions that we've all gone through, what with the whole 'leaving our worlds behind' thing. Have you fully accepted that or put that behind you? But are there some smaller changes your grappling with?

My dark powers say that you shouldn't worry if there's an opportunity that's closed to you, because there's always something new on the horizon.
