Hello there! ( the image that appears is of a smiling blonde woman, healthy and bright looking, dressed now in pristine weight to present herself, projecting poise and elegance and friendly invitation to hear her out. her German Swiss accent is quite strong, though, so hopefully no-one is overly attached to their w's. ) I hope everyone is doing well this evening. I am coming onto the network to reach out to anyone I might not have been able to yet. My name is Angela Ziegler, and I am a doctor from Earth. Human, as you can see. ( a light, pleasant laugh and an even more pleasant smile ) You may also know me as Mercy. It's my agent name from when I was in service to a global peacekeeping organisation known as Overwatch.

I'm from the 21st century, so the treatment that I can offer you is science based ( a slight pause here as if she's considering one last time how to phrase this ) rather than magic based, but I have a good deal of practical experience with general medicine so there's almost nothing I haven't seen or dealt with. My expertise is in applied biotics, and I also have experience with gene therapy, prosthetics, and cybernetics, if there is anyone here who may need more specialised care. My qualifications also include emergency and trauma response so, if you ever find yourself wounded and in need of immediate attention, please do not hesitate to contact me. Think of me as personal 999 for refugees!

If you do come to me for any kind of care, I promise to do the best I can help you, while upholding all the oaths I've taken as a doctor to do no harm and to protect my patients. I'm not charging anything at this time.

And, if you'd like to humour me and help me to understand our group a bit better, I have a set of questions: do you believe you have a soul? What makes you think you do or don't have one? And is such a belief common where you're from? ( she doesn't mention religion, because it isn't strictly speaking a religious idea. she's known plenty of atheists and nay-theists who thought there was something beyond intelligence that made people paramount to other species. whether they called this unique internal animating light a soul or not, it didn't really matter. )

With learning.. a little. My roommate is helping me, but it's still hard. Juvia can't remember how to use it sometimes, too..

Charmingly quaint, isn't it? ( sometimes this place does seem borderline steam-punk to her. though the medical care is atrocious, there are some neat things. ) I think you'd either love it, or hate it. It's not likely to happen, but, if you become irrationally angry from boredom, please don't come after me.

( and Mercy's invented something that's basically like a magic panacea. her own tone reflects much the same sentiments: homeopathy has never impressed her. it's just that here, the danger it prevents is immediate, rather than hidden, in the sense that the harm it does has more to do with the actual help being refused when one chooses herbs over carefully engineered medicine. )

It's an effective treatment, but I think they could do better. There's no reason to accept brutal side effects when we might be able to do better.

My vow to do no harm, that is important to me.

( is it really that big of a surprise? It hardly seems like a wild assumption, really, given how he's been described. ) So you truly feel nothing? When you think on those memories, it doesn't effect your mood at all?

Well, some men aren't completely done growing until their mid-twenties. ( a pause, and she laughs, too. ) Twenty-one? That is young to a lady like me.

Nothing, really. I was just wondering if I had correctly guessed your age. ( She smiles and holds her hand to her chest--it's an honest gesture. ) Some people here have appearances which can be misleading.

( She laughs at the suddenly juddering image. When it's stabilised, she sighs a bit and begins to speak, one hand passed to her cheek. ) Yes! Much better. You wouldn't even have to feel the device in your hand. It's all hologram baasd. That is--projections of light in the air. Which you can touch and interact with. It's a lot more fun than this clunky thing.

Hmm. Do you know about the various communication modes? You can send just an audio message, if you don't want show your face or your surroundings.

[ Rhys is woefully uninformed when it comes to these matters due to the fact that he isn't a doctor, doesn't actually know anyone who is...and both available ones on Pandora and Elpis happened to either be crazy or not have a medical licence or both. ]

...Don't doctors have some kind of oath they take in Pandora? I don't imagine they let anyone practise medicine. You can't just trust anyone random person with the ability to write prescriptions.

( clearly, she has no idea. she just gets to learn more and more about the horrendous people who would call her 'colleague'. )

( based on that reaction alone, though it's not much more than a glimmer, the most minuscule of possible loosenings, she thinks she can infer this: he's another immortal for whom his state is a curse. )

Hmm. I'd think it's fair to say, you are probably more so. ( a small huff of a sigh. ) What a life you must have had.

( she laughs at that, a mellifluous mix of mirth and amusement. ) Are you asking me out, Mr ( what was his username? ) Trashman?

[Oh, he actually laughs at that. At the idea of there being more than one as cursed as he. What a terrible fate for Eos that would've been.]

( another laugh. ) So charming, Archer! ( the name is an odd one, but she figures it's just a nickname or something. because really she can't talk, being called Mercy and all. and her first name being a pretty uninspired choice. )

Well, if you ever actually want to go on that date, let me know a little bit in advance? It has been a long time since I had the chance to go to the cinema.

I don't mind fighting as long as it's for the right reason. [ Protection of a loved one or a true desire to improve one's country, and not simply for money or power. ] But I appreciate the sentiment all the same.

[ But enough talk about violence and war. Surely they can both find something a bit more hopeful to chat about. ]

I don't suppose you're willing to do routine check-ups in addition to emergency care?
