Well, I sort of do. I mean, it's one of those "the proof is in the pudding" sorta things.

That's 'cause they don't know me very well.

[ Even the Guardians, who have known him the longest and have seen him at some of his very worst, didn't really know him that well.

Not that Peter would say that aloud, but they're all pretty cagey people. They hide a lot from each other. ]

You’d think so. But sometimes friends are just folks you meet under seriously weird circumstances, and you’re kind of like, “Oh. You’re not so bad when you’re not trying to slit my throat. We should hang out.”

[ but, admittedly, Gamora knows him the best out of all these assholes, which is why he relents a little. ]

I guess you can listen to Gamora, even though she’s got some, like, impossibly high standards, so.
