Greetings everyone! My name is Reign Fear, and I've an announcement to make. As some of you may have already know, I'm setting up a perfume business. That's going to happen this coming Monday, and you're all invited to the official opening.

My Qu— [ Whoops, nearly a slip of tongue there with the word "queen". ] I mean, my friend, Diva, is attending as a special guest as well, so make sure to come so you can hear her beautiful singing.

Oh, I'll also be giving some lessons during the weekends at the Temples of Thesa on scent, if you're interested. Can't wait to see you all there!

How'd you come into that hobby, if I may ask?

i think it was after i read someone's research work about— [ Pheromones, though he wasn't going to reveal that yet. ] —scent, and i got curious.
one thing led to another, and it gradually became a passion.

Do you work on distilling oils yourself or just combining them?

[ No human experimentation! Oh gosh, Reign had seen enough how his vampire brethren treated the humans of his world when he was younger that such an act was unthinkable.

For now, this was something Reign could easily explain. ]

i distill the oils myself using steam distillation.
though if i managed to purchase certain essential oils, they are used in the making of perfumes by mixing them together.
if you're interested in giving it a try, i'm holding classes on perfume making.

That sounds very interesting.
I've never learned how to do that, but I did have instruction on potion-making at school.
I'm curious how similar they are.

there aren't a lot of students, though that's because i preferred to keep the class small. a nice handful, a perfect size.

Understandable. Smaller classes are always better for things like that; there's more hands-on instruction.

What's your favorite scent you've created?

hm, it's hard to pick just one. i'll have to go with "diva", the shop's flagship perfume. it's one of the earliest perfumes that i worked on, the concept inspired by someone whom i care a lot.

yup, that's her real name. have you met her before?

oh, no. not at all. she isn't from my world, though we're quite similar in certain ways.

it's a term that they use, though they can't turn into a bat.

If she's so sensitive about that sort of thing, it doesn't make sense to name yourself after the bats' animal order. It's an obvious comparison to make.

truth be told, i didn't know that's the scientific name for a bat either.
i doubt it's a name she would have picked herself.
maybe it was a term given by others.
