Greetings everyone! My name is Reign Fear, and I've an announcement to make. As some of you may have already know, I'm setting up a perfume business. That's going to happen this coming Monday, and you're all invited to the official opening.

My Qu— [ Whoops, nearly a slip of tongue there with the word "queen". ] I mean, my friend, Diva, is attending as a special guest as well, so make sure to come so you can hear her beautiful singing.

Oh, I'll also be giving some lessons during the weekends at the Temples of Thesa on scent, if you're interested. Can't wait to see you all there!

yes, that's right.
it had been a bit of a hobby, and then i opened up a perfume business.
i'm thrilled to be able to do the same here now.

How'd you come into that hobby, if I may ask?

i think it was after i read someone's research work about— [ Pheromones, though he wasn't going to reveal that yet. ] —scent, and i got curious.
one thing led to another, and it gradually became a passion.

Do you work on distilling oils yourself or just combining them?

It should be fine to reveal about Diva's relation to him, no? It wasn't anything to hide about. When he replied, it was in a sheepish tone. ]

Ah... Well... I consider her my Queen, though I'm technically not one of her subject.

[ Okay, Reign understood about the bad decisions part, because he'd been witness to it a couple times. But it wasn't entirely Diva's fault, considering her upbringing and what she was. ]

She calls herself a Queen, and since the both of us are quite similar, I thought, why not?

[ Although Reign wasn't divulging the fact that he liked being dominated or ordered, hence having a vampire (or in Diva's case, Chiropteran) being his mistress actually made sense. To Reign, at least. ]

[ No human experimentation! Oh gosh, Reign had seen enough how his vampire brethren treated the humans of his world when he was younger that such an act was unthinkable.

For now, this was something Reign could easily explain. ]

i distill the oils myself using steam distillation.
though if i managed to purchase certain essential oils, they are used in the making of perfumes by mixing them together.
if you're interested in giving it a try, i'm holding classes on perfume making.

That's a hard no, kiddo. My name isn't nearly as epic as Reign Fear and doesn't deserve its own scent unless it's something like sweat five miles into a ten mile run.

Wow, you may actually come from a more shitty family than mine, and I wasn't certain that was even possible. But hey, you managed to walk away with an epic name, so take the wins where you can.

Tends to be a little sour by that point. It's the build up of lactate. Considering I've done those runs before, I have smelled like that.

it took me a while to realise just how messed up our world is. [ Though he wouldn't go into too much detail. He was pretty sure that other worlds had it worst, and it wasn't something to compare about. ] i'll have you know that some of us have even more brow-raising names. i could certainly name a few.

[ There were a few... rare vampires who were nice. Like Shell, and One's mother. Other than that, Reign didn't know many. ]

any scent that smells sour probably means something has gone bad with it. not at all pleasant.

hey, you can always drop by my shop to see if there's any fragrance that may be up your alley. either that, or you can commission one.

[Well, yeah, in a run like that with a full pack of gear on, something was starting to turn. However, they still completed it because not doing so wasn't an option for anyone involved.]

Not really a fragrance kind of guy. I like mostly natural scent, but I'll stop by anyway, if only to see how the new cologne is coming along. I bet it will be all the rage.
