This has been bothering me for a little while....

Back on my world there was a tyrant who was overthrown and killed. Before he died, he told the person who took him down "by killing me, you have doomed yourself." We never know exactly what he meant but then all of this happens. I just want to know if--

["if this is my fault" but she holds that back. There's a pause for a second or two before she continues.]

I want to know if anybody else here was warned about the end of your world. If there was any way to have seen this coming.

It sounds like you have a personal investment in this. Are you really just talking about your own situation?

Why wouldn't I? It was my world.

No, I mean that it just sounded like you were alluding to your own experience for a minute there.

But my hunch could be wrong.

I lived through it, I saw the same public executions that everybody else did too.

If you're asking that I played a part in what happened then I did. Not the most important [that's true, from her perspective] but I did.
