This has been bothering me for a little while....

Back on my world there was a tyrant who was overthrown and killed. Before he died, he told the person who took him down "by killing me, you have doomed yourself." We never know exactly what he meant but then all of this happens. I just want to know if--

["if this is my fault" but she holds that back. There's a pause for a second or two before she continues.]

I want to know if anybody else here was warned about the end of your world. If there was any way to have seen this coming.

I don't know. Maybe they kept some like they saved us.

I'd...like to hope they didn't save any Grimm. That's not something this place needs.

I noticed some people this world doesn't need up there too. I don't see how bringing monsters is much different.

[He's just been working on trying to get enough money to steadily live on.]

One. But he wasn't a very big one.

[Well, relatively speaking. He hadn't been hard to take down.]

[He supposes that in a place that has drawn people from countless worlds, not everyone's going to be ready to work together.]

I don't suppose you have anything like...Aura?

Not that I've ever heard of, no.

[Well, he supposes not everyone can have the same kind of powers.]

So you took him on with your bare hands?

I saw nothing

[Well. With Allomancy and a knife but what else would she use?]

Oh, then you must be really skilled.

[There's nothing but admiration in his tone. Not everyone had Aura but it didn't make them weak at all. It just meant they operated on a different level.]

I'm alright. I wasn't nearly the best back home.

[That's her perspective anyway. Talk to somebody who's seen her fight and you'd get a different story.]

I guess running into a trouble maker is better than Grimm.

[But even then, the handlers of Grimm contained human allies all the same. So people could still cause plenty of trouble as themselves.]

I don't know. As frightening as those creatures sound I think people are probably still more dangerous.

[He considers a bit of information he hadn't thought to ask before.]

Is that story about the tyrant on your world true?

Of how he died? Yes, it is.

[There's a brief pause, before she adds in a more solemn tone.]

I'm sure of it.

So he died cursing the world? Is that what happened where you're from?
