While I would think - I should think - to ask about how we've all managed living so far, here, instead I find myself gravitating to another question.

Can you tell me about the magic in your worlds? The magic we've brought with us?

I'd like to write a collection of this.

What kind of magic would you say is most common?

Mm, I guess it kinda depends? I've done a lot of traveling, and some places, they don't even believe magic exists. Other places, anyone and everyone uses it. I guess basic elementals are the ones I saw most often. You know, fire, blizzard, thunder, that sort of stuff. Healing magic is fairly common too, where magic is a thing, but I never had much luck with it.

What does inspire luck?

[He pauses for a second, then laughs softly.]

Are you askin' what I am good at? 'Cuz honestly, my overall luck stats are pretty in the toilet in general, but fire magic is my specialty.

You just. Make fire?

[What, like it's hard?]

That's one way of putting it, but that sounds so... not exciting! 'Conjure' sounds much cooler, don't'cha think? I conjure fire.

Do you....breathe it?

[icingonthecake]

[There's a beat of silence, and then a peal of laughter.]

Breathe it? Sadly, no, but that would be really cool. [A short pause.] Also possibly bad for your teeth, though. [He's never really thought about it.] But anyway, no, don't breathe it, at least to the best of my knowledge. Honestly I've never tried. Maybe I'll have to sometime. [If he can ascertain whether or not it's actually bad for your teeth.] I usually just use my hands, but I can control it with my weapons, too.

[You can practically hear him buffing his nails on his lapel and looking self-satisfied.]

I could probably be cajoled into giving a demonstration, if you're interested.

I usually cook for myself, and so anything would be better.

I feel ya there. I make a mean PBnJ, but that's about the extent of my culinary expertise. [Unless we're talking barbecue, but that's another story entirely.] Maybe there's a sandwich place or something. Are you in the starter housing?

I don't know what that is.
