It's a big board where you can write things with erasable markers, or ink so that people can follow.

I expect that a projector and a laptop can do the same thing, digitally.

Many places use them in the classroom setting in order to teach the material. We used to use them in the office for some of our meetings when we lay down the groundwork for cases.

Mainly it would be good to have a place we can have information or the meeting notes in a place that is visible to everyone present, in case they wish to note it down. Think of it as a way for everyone to be on the same page, so to speak.

I think that would be useful, yes. However, I can't even begin to imagine conducting myself beyond a lecture. Perhaps a demonstration would ease my concerns.
