Have any of you tried a fruit called the 'doreh'?
[It’s a brief question. Gaius addresses the network early in the morning, hopefully after people have eaten breakfast. There have been a few things on his mind for a while, so he might as well ask now before the network turns to death talk again.]
I spoke with one of the workers on Thesa before coming here, and he shared some with me. It’s a green fruit with several leaves, and it has a bumpy texture...you might have seen it before. When you slice into it, the juice is purple. It's delicious and tastes like honey and plum, but...if someone offers you the same fruit in a different color, you might want to be careful. I’ve heard the other colors of doreh have side effects that are...less than desirable.
[How ominous? He seems to know what’s going on, at least.]
With all the conversation topics we've had, I'd also like to ask...were you religious where you're from, or was your world religious? I've visited the temples here, and they're...unique. [It's so hard to pick just one word.] I've been thinking about my own faith...a lot changes when you end up on a different world, doesn't it?
[He pauses for a moment, and then shakes his head slightly.]
Haha...it sounds a little heavy when I phrase it like that, but I'm still interested in hearing about your worlds if I haven't lost you all yet.

Sorry for the late reply, I took a break because of the heat.
[And he has dragons in his world as well. They're only a myth in Zemuria, but give n the things he's seen...they just might have been real before it all ended.]
I'm definitely interested if you're willing to share. I can tell you about the Septian faith as well.
uh, likewise :| also sorry.
Let's see now. [He taps his chin.] The two most widespread are the Andrastian Chantry and the Qun, though the Qunari argue that it is a philosophy and not a religion. Of course, the ones who follow the Qun are more devoted, even fanatical, than even the most hard-line Andrastian I have ever met.
Then there are the Dalish, who follow the old Elven gods--what they know of them--and the Dwarves, who worship nothing but do revere their own ancestors. The Dwarven Paragons have no rules of morality to follow, however. Those are enforced socially, not theocratically.
Finally, there are the so-called barbarians: the Avvar, the Chasind, the Rivaini witch-seers...all of whom revere their own gods or otherwise worship the maker outside of what the Chantry considers proper.
you're worth the wait
Your world sounds a lot more diverse than my own. We have a few religions that aren't Septian in nature, but they're all very small. My own people worship the wind in addition to the Goddess, as an example. But we've no elves or dwarves to speak of. At the end of the day, all of us are human.

[Are. Not were. He's still a nomad.]
What about yourself? What do you do for a living?
[He's only asking to make conversation. He's interested in Zevran just as he's interested in everyone who's replied to his post.]
no subject
[But enough about that.] At the moment, odd jobs. Sometimes a messenger, sometimes a porter. Strangely, I find myself with a great deal of free time. Have you seen the library yet?
no subject
[Maybe at least up to a point? He's never spoken to a nomad outside of his own people.]
I have. I've been to most places in the city, though there are a few I haven't...had the time to see. [That pause is for the Red Light District.] You mean the one in the institute, right?
no subject
No, the Institute lets no one in who does not work there. But there's another one, available to the public. Supposedly, it is smaller but if that one is small, the mind boggles at how many books the Institute must have.
oh, whoops, I could only find the library in the institute...pretend he said he's never been there
[Alas, no one is as outdoorsy as Gaius 'lives in a tent in the mountains' Worzel.]
The Institute seems like a great and influential place. There was a similar place in my own world...maybe. It's difficult to draw parallels when I don't really understand this world's resources yet.
