Have any of you tried a fruit called the 'doreh'?
[It’s a brief question. Gaius addresses the network early in the morning, hopefully after people have eaten breakfast. There have been a few things on his mind for a while, so he might as well ask now before the network turns to death talk again.]
I spoke with one of the workers on Thesa before coming here, and he shared some with me. It’s a green fruit with several leaves, and it has a bumpy texture...you might have seen it before. When you slice into it, the juice is purple. It's delicious and tastes like honey and plum, but...if someone offers you the same fruit in a different color, you might want to be careful. I’ve heard the other colors of doreh have side effects that are...less than desirable.
[How ominous? He seems to know what’s going on, at least.]
With all the conversation topics we've had, I'd also like to ask...were you religious where you're from, or was your world religious? I've visited the temples here, and they're...unique. [It's so hard to pick just one word.] I've been thinking about my own faith...a lot changes when you end up on a different world, doesn't it?
[He pauses for a moment, and then shakes his head slightly.]
Haha...it sounds a little heavy when I phrase it like that, but I'm still interested in hearing about your worlds if I haven't lost you all yet.

Sorry for the late reply, I took a break because of the heat.
no worries dear!!
[ she's not entirely sure why he wants to know, but hey.. it's not going to hurt anyone, so. ]
I'm only passable in my knowledge of the tribes, but I've spent some time among the Kobolds and the Kojin. The former are miners and metallurgists, the latter are traders and collectors who live beneath the sea.

[He's pretty shocked, actually. And intrigued! People who live under the sea...like fish? Or in buildings? He can't even imagine unless they're literally just mermaids. He knows mermaids, they show up in a storybook from time to time.]

[ she's gesturing vaguely with her hands. ]
T'would make sense if you saw them, I'm sure.

That's incredible. I believe you, of course, but that there might be an entire civilization under the water in other worlds...haha, it's kind of fascinating to think about. I'd say you can't more different from people like me than living under the water, but I'm sure there's a surprise or two out there waiting to prove me wrong.

It's all right, it was honestly rather unbelievable for us as well, and quite breathtaking to behold. I've never quite seen its like before or since.
every time you tag I have to recheck how to spell her name
Again, I can only imagine. I suppose if there's one silver lining to this place, I can say it's been enlightening seeing so many people who aren't human. I wouldn't say no to meeting a Kojin myself if one's ever sent here.
[Assuming there's one healing in the pods to begin with.]
IM SORRY.... it is a weird difficult name..
[ she means humans, and yeah she knows you guys are prolific but.. ]
No I'm mostly just making fun of myself...dw...you're perfect
[Familiars, sentient mechas...weird things like that.]
no friend it also took me several times to be able to spell it without checking also... alas
[ she's clearly surprised. ]
So then.. no Elezen either, I gather.
I'll just add extra i's so I know at least one of them is in the right place
i think that's a fair idea
Gods, to think of it.. I could hardly imagine a world like that. It seems so bland.
[ oops ]
Err.. I mean no offense.
it's a greait idiea
[He shakes his head just remembering some of those crazy, terrifying shenanigans after bringing it up.]
Maybe there's an underwater village here as well. If there is, I'd enjoy traveling there with you.
[Gaius...blunt and to the point.]
goddaimmit
Mayhap there is, and if so I'd certainly love to see it. If I ever stumble across one you can be sure I'll keep you in mind.

I think that's a perfectly reasonable compromise for the time being, yes.
