To Whom It May Concern,

Based on the current cycle of the moon, Easter ought to fall on the 7th Sunday from today, which would make tomorrow Ash Wednesday. I do not expect that a great many here share in these traditions, being that we are refugees of countless lands. I wish only to ask if any have attempted to establish the faiths of our home lands here in this new one, if there exist places of worship outside of the temples of Olympia and Wyver.

With sincerest thanks,

U.F.

No churches. The places where people would have you kneel while they smear things on your face tend to pay worship to the Olympian Gods.

But I'm sure people still pray, to whoever they hope is listening.

That's what my boyfriend used to tell me while he tried to remember the menorah blessing before sitting down to a bacon sandwich. There's this whole song about it, too - I don't suppose you know Fiddler?

Catholic or Protestant?

[He does not aim to rile Jean Valjean, he just has a habit of modern reference it may take Jean Valjean a while to get used to.]

No? All I ask is for this place to send me one person with an interest in musical theatre. But again, today is not my day.

Because I can see if I know anybody. There are enough people from our earth here, if strange and scattered versions of it. You might find a congregation.

[Ash Wednesday seems too specific a reference for Jean to be from anywhere else.]
