[ This was the first time Reign used the network, and thus the video feed began with a view of himself. He waved at the screen with a polite smile, fangs peeking out slightly. ]

It seems this is a good place to ask for name suggestions, and I've seen a few people do that. I've recently gotten myself a new pet, though strangely hatched from an egg when he's a mammalian creature. Ah, let me introduce him.

[ Reign would disappear from view for a bit, then reemerged with a petite looking giraffe in the palm of his hands. ]

Anyway, other than names, I'm not certain what kind of diet a giraffe should eat. I've been letting him drink milk, which works well, but I don't know if he eats other kind of food. Would grass work? Vegetables, perhaps?

[ The giraffe raised its head, and Reign happily leaned down to let his pet kiss him on the cheek. ]

Aaaah~ Isn't he adorable?

Isn't he? Daifuku now has a friend to play with too!!!

[ Could Atsushi see how happy this new papa had become? Reign was clearly excited at having a pet. At least now living alone wouldn't feel as lonely. ]

That would be nice~! But I think we'd have to be careful while your giraffe is so small. Daifuku isn't cruel, but he can still be a little rambunctious.

Even so, they should at least meet!

Oh, yes. You're right. He's still quite the baby. We'll just need to be present to watch over them.

They should~ Maybe you can come visit us with Daifuku. It's easier that way.

Then, I will come visit whenever it's convenient!

As long as I'm heading over, can I bring you anything? [Getting groceries can be hard with a baby in the house, Atsushi knows.] I do owe you some mochi, too...

Hm... [ Humming, pondering. ] Perhaps some simple vegetables and fruits? Herbs might work, but I worry if it's too early for him. Carrots and apricots then, if you can find some? And I'll have the mochi~

I'll see if there are any herbs with subtle flavors, just in case!

Then now is all right? That is: it will take me a good half hour, with the groceries...

Yup, and you don't need to rush. If you're planning to stay a while for a meal, I suggest you bring something along as well, like the sandwiches you made. I'm... not a really good cook. [ Sheepish laughter. In fact, Reign didn't cook at all. Those were done by human Arts. ]

All right! [Considering vampire diets, Atsushi isn't even surprised.] Then, I'll be there in roughly 45 minutes.

[Eager and a little excited - friends! cute animals!! - Atsushi collects some food (and the mochi) for himself at home, and then he goes shopping. He ends up arriving just a little earlier than he thought (though not by much), bags of food in his hands, and Daifuku on a leash. That's safer in the city, anyway, and for now? Yeah, he'd rather keep the cub that way.]

[ Once he ended the feed, Reign got down to preparing for his two guests, making sure the place was nice and neat while also tending to his pet giraffe. He'd yet to come up with a name for the giraffe, but maybe Atsushi could offer some suggestions.

By the time Atsushi arrived with the groceries, Reign was at the door, holding it open for them with welcoming smile. ]

Come on in! It's nice to see you, and you too, Daifuku.

[ He held his hands out to help unload some of those groceries, then led them towards the small table. The new arrivals perked the giraffe's attention, and he raised his head from where he'd been resting on the couch, full of curiosity. ]

Have a seat! It's not much, but I've tea prepared as well. Do you mind chamomile tea?
