everyone makes mistakes. they're just more obvious when they involve magic.

did that happen with you a lot?

When I was starting, as a little girl? Not nearly as catastrophic. Of course, I started with less volatile spells. A good friend of mine tried learning more advanced magic from the start. She is dear to me, but. That was not wise.

yes. people get excited. and when they're excited, sometimes mistakes happen. they don't care so much about what's wise.



were people nice to mages?

Wisdom was certainly not one of her strengths.

And some were. Others were suspicious. Many saw us as relics of a bygone age, useful once but now surpassed by technology.
We rarely were treated poorly, though.
