I'm beginning to think I perhaps should have phrased the question differently. It was in response to meeting several individuals who decidedly did not have any awareness of magic where they came from. You said you have a degree in it, though? Where did you study?

She bristles a little bit at being talked to like that, but says nothing.] Simply curious, I assure you. I'm always interested in learning about what magic education was like in other worlds.

When you say Transmutation, you mean something similar to alchemy?

You pick some up in school, get the rest of it on the go, lose your memory and have to relearn everything. You know how it goes.

Uuuuuuuuuh. Kind of a different class altogether, but generally sorta the same. Turning one thing into another. I can do other shit too, of course, I'm not one of those highly specialized wizards that can't throw a good fireball.

The first part of it, yes; I'd hope not to have to do the second. [Again. Not her memory per se, but...] We're taught some magic like that, too. I have a dear friend who has it as her specialty, of sorts. Our education is, however, fairly rounded. "Good fireballs" included.
