[Tarrlok flips on the video and offers a polite bow to the camera.]
Hello everyone. For those of you that I've yet to meet, my name is Tarrlok.
[He's had a few things on his mind lately. He understands politics all too well. While it can't be denied that they've all been shown generosity as refugees, there was the terrorist attack, and Tarrlok isn't so naive as to think that everything is as perfect as some representatives of Olympia or Wyver would like people to believe.]
It's occurred to me that as refugees, we could benefit from being better organized as a group. In fact, I believe even our gracious hosts, Wyver and Olympia, could benefit from us being better organized.
[Not as much, admittedly, but. He continues, so he can explain. He doesn't know where people have placed their loyalties thus far, and so he's being careful to emphasize the idea of it being beneficial to everyone.]
I would like to propose establishing a group that represents the refugee population on El Nysa. This group would research both communities and help refugees better integrate into the two societies we've been invited to participate in. We would also serve to help place people into workplaces that would best suit them, and thus fill an essential need for all sides.
[There's plenty he would like to do with such a group, but for now he'll focus on something that no one could really find objectionable.]
Please reply here if you're interested, and we can set up an in person meeting in the near future to talk about it further.
(ooc: I will also be setting up a catchall log. This was intended to start developing political discussion for people who replied to Tarrlok's top level on the CR meme)

I was once a king in mine own realm, and am studying the histories of both cities here at the Simwe Institute. Should you require it, I would be prepared to assist.
[ while governing is not his favourite thing, he is good enough at it. and it would be irresponsible not to offer. ]

Your assistance would be appreciated. I think it's important that people get settled into the community that is right for them, and gain an understanding of the local laws and customs.

I spent years in the court in my homeland, living with the enemies of my family, and helped my brother govern the North when I returned to my home. If your idea is to succeed, you will need people who know how to adapt to the circumstances. [ she survived King's Landing, she survived the Eyrie and she survived Winterfell and the Boltons. she's not saying it outright, but if he is a smart politician... he'll know what she means. to live with your enemies and survive is no small thing, and as much as Stannis and Lucy know of being a king or a queen, she knows both of them are honourable and good.
in politics, that's not enough. ]

A lady resourceful and diplomatic enough to get through challenging circumstances such as those would be a most welcome addition to the group.

What will be the nature of the group? Who will it answer to?
1/2 reaction only
2/2 video, un: watercouncil
The members of the group will answer to one another, but we will be compliant with the laws of the lands we visit. The nature of the group is to research, inform, and help our fellow refugees adjust to new lives here.

I mean, I did run an entire planet and an intergalactic business empire back home, so I dunno. I guess I could give you guys a few pointers.

[He says that, his voice a wry Germanic drawl, but there's something to be said for it, he supposes. At least, for someone like himself who is still undertaking community service for his part in the terrorist attacks. Someone who owes a dept to Olympia. Something he could do, perhaps.]

Some parts of it could be, I suppose. But I find tedious work that benefits many others can be more bearable than the tedious work one takes on because no one else will do it.

I am among those newly woken to this world, and I have yet to truly grasp both the scale and scope of it.
There are simple questions: 'how strong is the refugee population in number?'. And far more difficult ones, such as the true nature of the relationship between Wyver and Olympia.
Answers, it seems, cannot be unearthed alone, and I would pave a kinder, gentler path for all those refugees who are to wake after me.
To achieve the manner of order which you seek, you will need a hub stationed on neutral territory; a meeting ground for refugees to find reprieve and hold council. [ Pausing, the hints of a smile play upon Sion's lips. ] Let us build this together, my friend.
[ Friend, he says, though they are perfect strangers—but it an earnest sentiment, perhaps disarmingly so. ]
You're absolutely right about needint a meeting place on neutral ground. Currently, I'm renting in both Wyver and Olympia, but neither of the places I'm renting are fit for holding group meetings.

But the more political players, the easier it becomes to get involved.]
I don't think monarchies leave much room for political parties. They'll be more likely to listen if we have something to offer, rather than just invoking need after need.
Any ideas? Perhaps our current extraterritorial rights could be useful.
[He's probably talking about commerce, but it could be intrigue
~*plausible deniability*~]

[Because there are only a select few who actually profit from war. For everyone else, it's something to be avoided.]
By learning more about the two communities and their needs, we can also help to place people according to who would best fit those needs. My intention was always to make this as mutually beneficial as possible, and for us to work rather than seek handouts.
