[ good morning everyone, hope you weren't hoping to sleep in on this marvelous TGIF, because coming atcha from your very own communication device is one (1) blue paladin of voltron, looking perhaps a little too happy, a little too excited. ]

so turns out theres a few things about this place thats pretty similar to my home world
and a little blue birdy tells me todays my birthday [ lol it's funny because his phone is blue........ ]

now back home my family would normally throw me a party but theyre uh
theyre kinda busy right now [ you know. fighting for their lives in sleep-mode and all. ]
and its a little too last minute to throw anything together anyway
but that doesnt mean we cant enjoy a few party games right?? [ if you can't already tell, he is pumped. games are, like, the second best thing about parties. (second to presents and cake, of course.) ]

since were all kinda scattered i thought we could all play one over this network
that way everyone gets to play!
the games called 'never have i ever'
and all you gotta do is say something
SOMETHING HONEST
that youve never done or seen or heard or whatever
and everyone who that applies to has to respond to you with a story about it!

[ okay so he... modified the game a bit. normally it involves drinking, bUT WHY ALIENATE THOSE WHO CAN'T, AMIRITE............. and besides if there is no birthday cake to be shared, might as well go for the next best thing, right? embarrassing stories! ] ]

If they can afford it, yes. I think it has more to do with the anticipation of gifts.

Don't get me wrong, everyone loves a present, but adults are also aware that every birthday marks one inexorable step closer to the grave. For SOME reason, most people seem quite perturbed by that thought.

So it's customary to give presents to the birthday person? If that's the case, I want a wide assortment of food and cool clothes on my birthday! I think my current suit is getting a bit worn....

Oh yeah! Humans tend to age, don't they? That's probably the real reason they don't like birthdays when older. They get too old quickly and get all wrinkly.

I don't have to worry about that I think.

Not only humans but everyone and everything that lives. At least that's true where I'm from, perhaps it is different elsewhere.

And, Loz? Do be careful whom you fight. Fate may decree that you are hopelessly outmatched.

Everything grows old? I bet I won't! I'm staying like this for a long time.

I think I'm gonna be more careful. I fought this one guy and I bled too much. The wound still hurts some. Feeling stiff.

Well, the Dalish say that elves were once immortal, but we lost that along with everything else. That's a story for another time, however.

I was bested once myself, on Thesa, in the simulators. Charming woman, and lovely, too.

Any fight you can walk away from is a good one, yes?

I hate the simulators! A guy dressed up as a giant cactuar mascot kicked my ass! He got lucky! Next time, I'll break all his bones!

I'm an Antivan first, and elven second. Senren Lavellan is a Dalish elf however, so you could ask him about them if you want to know more. I only lived with the Dalish for a very brief time.

The simulations are certainly a wakeup call! I was not expecting to be beaten either.

So, you're both? Makes sense---who's Lavellan?

Is that the annoying elf guy who keeps talking about forming a coalition? Yeah, if he's Dalish...well, then Antivans are way cooler.

No one is defeating me like that ever again! We should train together and drag the "Birthday Boy" with us.

I bet he would like that! Beats just sitting around talking.

He's the Inquisitor- or, one of them, anyway. They seem to have a pathological need to help people. Rather reminds me of some humans I once knew.

If he can keep up, he's certainly welcome to join!
