[ good morning everyone, hope you weren't hoping to sleep in on this marvelous TGIF, because coming atcha from your very own communication device is one (1) blue paladin of voltron, looking perhaps a little too happy, a little too excited. ]

so turns out theres a few things about this place thats pretty similar to my home world
and a little blue birdy tells me todays my birthday [ lol it's funny because his phone is blue........ ]

now back home my family would normally throw me a party but theyre uh
theyre kinda busy right now [ you know. fighting for their lives in sleep-mode and all. ]
and its a little too last minute to throw anything together anyway
but that doesnt mean we cant enjoy a few party games right?? [ if you can't already tell, he is pumped. games are, like, the second best thing about parties. (second to presents and cake, of course.) ]

since were all kinda scattered i thought we could all play one over this network
that way everyone gets to play!

and all you gotta do is say something
SOMETHING HONEST
that youve never done or seen or heard or whatever
and everyone who that applies to has to respond to you with a story about it!

IN THAT CASE, I SUPPOSE I CANNOT SAY THE SAME.
I AM ONE OF THE FEW FEMALE KNIGHTS IN THE BROTHERHOOD, YOU SEE, AND SO THERE ARE MANY WHO QUESTION MY SKILLS SOLELY FOR THAT REASON.
THOUGH I ASSURE YOU, I CAN RIDE AND FIGHT JUST AS WELL AS THE REST OF THEM!

It certainly was a different case for me after I got it, but I was already in a hostile place by that time.

That's a shame. Considering you made it as a knight, it's a given that you're at least as skilled as they are. Do they really think exceptions were made for you?

My brother's betrothed, Mathilda, was subject to similar ignorance for a time, as she has recounted to me, though tales of her exploits have spread far and wide enough now that few dare to question her talents.

It seems like one has to be extraordinary to deflect any kind of unneeded judgement.

It's a mark put on anyone who breaks the law back in my home-it allows authority to keep track of them. It's like a brand-even if the crime isn't that serious, or you've already served your time...no matter what, people will treat you like trash. A petty thief would be dismissed on the same level as a murderer, for example. And the way things were in my world...markers are more often put on just to put people in their place rather than actually enact justice. It's a flawed system.

It certainly seems that way!
I would go so far as to call it wholly repugnant.
You say that you were given one of these markers?

I was. I wasn't able to go back to my home due to...circumstances, so I was stuck in a largely hostile situation after that.

[Sigh. It might have only been less than a month, but other than meeting treasured friends that he'd never regret meeting, his stint in Neo Domino was definitely one of the more stressful times of his life.]

That being said, the people I met there...I wouldn't have given up meeting them for anything else. We managed to carve out our own place, somehow....

I am very glad to hear that you were able to find some good amongst your unfortunate circumstances.
In fact, I would say it's quite admirable.

As long as we were together, we had our hope. I think that was what made the difference in the end.
