 So... I think we've all been trying to get to know each other, right? That seems like a great idea! Since we're all stuck in this same boat together and all. [Translation: Can we please talk about something, anything other than killing people? She's still not sure if you're all just joking or if serious.

She's not sure which would be creepier.]

So, what sort of things does everyone like to do for fun? I know we kinda had that on the magic nametags we were given, but we've all got hobbies, right? Maybe we can still do them here! 

I like to cook, I was on the high dive and swim team back home, I was part of a singing group with my friends, I love clothes and costumes and designing fashion, and one day I want to be a ship captain like my dad! 

What kind of things were you all into where you came from? Anything fun you want to get up to?

There's like 7 billion people in the world! I barely know... maybe a hundred? But that sort of thing would be huge news if people knew about it.

You can't just tell people though, imagine what would happen if they did!

Well, there'd probably be a mass panic about the existence of other worlds, governments would argue about what to do with them, and...

...okay, I see your point.

[melodiouspacifist]

Yeah, but it's really cool to think about. You should try and go to other worlds if you get the chance. Best adventure ever!

[ayes]

Uh, does this count as a different-world adventure yet?

[He hums for a moment.]

Yes, I think so!

Then I guess I'm having one already! Even if it's kind of an inadvertent one.

Do you know anyone here?

[He shakes his head.]

Only the new people that I meet! That's pretty fun.

[ayes]

Yeah, it's pretty fun! [Kind of lonely, too.] It's just me here, too. I mean, they said that everyone from back home was asleep up on the station, but... just me awake. So I'm having to make friends pretty quickly!

[melodiouspacifist]

I don't know anything about friends. [A smile, half a shrug.]

But people are nice to talk to. Everyone I know is sleeping, but that's okay. They don't really like me.

[ayes]

[You just made it a little awkward, Demyx.] ...huh?

You don't... have friends? But you're so friendly!

[melodiouspacifist]

[What, he's just speaking the truth.]

Nah, I don't have any. My colleagues and I don't...get along.

[ayes]

Seriously? That doesn't make any sense to me at all!

What sort of business are you in?

[melodiouspacifist]

Yeah, seriously. They complain about me a lot.

Uh, well...[How does he put it? Villainy?] My job is mostly investigating things, reconnaissance.

[ayes]

Oh! So you're sort of like... a detective?

[melodiouspacifist]

Not exactly. More like an explorer maybe.

[Sort of. Not really.]

[ayes]

Well that's fun! Explorers are really cool! Do you sail? Like on a ship?

[melodiouspacifist]

No, we travel from world to world by portal. No ships. Too bad, huh?

[ayes]

Aw, that is too bad! Probably a little quicker, though? And no storms to wash you overboard.

[melodiouspacifist]

[He laughs.]

No, no storms, but I wouldn't worry about the water. I have control over it, it's never going to wash me overboard.

[ayes]

Huh? You... control water?

How d'you mean?
