[When Dylas starts the audio feed, he’s already not sure if he wants to do this. What a follows is a long sigh before he actually begins speaking in earnest.]

Hey. I know everyone’s sick. It’s pretty bad. I’m sure you all know some of the symptoms, but maybe you guys have been feeling something else, too? Something happened to me last month. Er, has been...happening.

[There’s a long, uncomfortable pause. He doesn’t know what he’s doing.]

I mean, maybe your body is changing. Doing things it couldn’t before. Maybe...being more sensitive. Maybe you’re noticing something different about yourself that you didn’t before? Something that doesn’t line up with the symptoms? If that happens, you should talk to the Orbiters. [Another pause. Ugh. He hates doing this, seriously.] They can apparently change our bodies without asking. They, uh. Can give us things that weren’t there before.

[He’s clearly not wanting to go into any details. Or maybe it’s not clear. He’s just this deep, masculine voice who sounds sort of confused about how to address large groups.]

So if you start feeling weird outside of the sickness or weren’t sick before, it might be that your body is going through new changes.

[Another long pause.]

It’s not puberty. I’ve already done that.

Yeah, that's kinda why it sounds pretty sketchy... Why'd they go changing people's bodies without even asking? And then calling it a gift...

They gave me a new ability a second time. So it's happened twice.

It's even weirder when you're the one it's happening to, but yeah. Last month and this month. The first month, my senses grew stronger. You can ask your creepy friend about that. He was there.

He's pretty handsy. And after meeting me, he ran off to buy something for me to wear so I just left.

I wasn't naked around him! [He sounds disgusted at the thot thought, naturally.] He wanted to buy me a headscarf! But I left. All my clothes were still on!

Ohhhhh. Okay, see, you should have just said that from the start. You had me thinking something lewd was going on!

[Gods. He wants to retch.]

Good! I don't want to be the subject of someone's weird thoughts! If he ever acts weird around me again, I'll kick his ass for real.

[He huffs. His ears flick a little as he calms himself down from that little outburst. Lewdness is not appreciated here.]

[ now maybe lance should be a little more reactive to someone threatening keith like that... but he's also pretty sure keith wouldn't necessarily dislike a fight. he's been stir-crazy, after all. in need of a good training partner. ]

Something like that. [ he sounds both amused and fond. ] We're both paladins or pilots for the same team from back home.

[He's so relieved.]

[ lance honestly doesn't know whether to feel amused or insulted. ]

—Wait what do you mean "instead"?! We just finished talking about how he wasn't thinking those kinda things about you anyway!

[Both, probably, not that Dylas really cares. He's just sort of relieved Keith is taken.]

I can smell things better than I could before. It's the same for my hearing, too. If you ever wanted to hear things you didn't want to hear or smell things people dropped on the ground, then it's great.

[But from his tone he clearly did not want either of those things.]
