Hey. My name's Qrow.

[ A familiar greeting, not that anybody is familiar with him! His voice is gruff and tired, but that's his everyday voice. ]

That guy everyone's been chasing after is dead. [ A slight pause, and in a softer tone: ] Killed himself.

He gave some details to the cure, though. Said that we need a plant called the Oshai Leaf for it, and it can only be found in Wyver.

Wyver's been hit with the same disease, too. No idea what the situation's like there, but they can't find the cure for it either. Another ingredient for the cure can only be found here.

That's all I know. If you've got questions, ask. I'll try to answer 'em.

[ The sound of liquid hitting metal can be heard, but that's just him moving his flask closer to his mouth. ]

[ Qrow isn't the best adult to begin counseling someone, but he listens to Ryuji, anyway. He can feel the other man's anger and frustration. It's not the same kind of anger that was directed at him recently (until The Storm happened, anyway), but it's raw anger out of frustration of not knowing what to do.

He's been there a few years ago, too. ]

First off, you gotta calm down. Nothing good's gonna happen if you're not thinking rationally.

[The last time he felt powerless, his Persona awakened. Ryuji is still trying to figure out how to call him here since his friends apparently can. He knows Kidd is still there, waiting, he just can't reach him. And without him, he can't exactly fight with anything other than his fists.]

I know. [it comes out sharper than he meant and Ryuji takes a deep breath, letting it out slowly but through clenched teeth.]

I just...I can't sit around and do nothin' while people are gettin' hurt. Not just here, but in Wyver, too. I've been lookin' for shady people, but...

[He lets out another frustrated growl, dragging his hands down his face.]

One of 'em basically flew away, so I couldn't exactly catch 'im. And now this? The guy just kills himself?

They don't plan on getting caught easily.

[ S-8 basically died in Qrow's grasp. While the shady man may be their "enemy", it doesn't feel right for someone to stop breathing. Especially right in front of him. Just centimetres away from his own breath. ]

And whoever it is they're working for... killing themselves seemed like the better option rather than being surrendered to the royal guard.

[No one plans on getting caught easily. If this is the way they think they're affecting social change, then they'll go down swinging, no matter how many people they hurt. Ryuji knows how that feels - to believe in something so strongly, you're willing to die for it.

But to kill himself...?]

....Do you think they believe in their leader? Or is it fear?

[unpromising]

Fear, but not of their leader, that's for sure.

[ Or maybe S-8 was afraid of their leader, too. He doesn't know. ]

[Not of the leader?

Then what? What would be so terrifying that they'd risk terrorism?]

Did they say where they were from or anything else? What could be scarin' 'em so bad they'd attack?

He didn't tell me anything about his friends, no.

[ He pauses, unsure if he should keep talking. In the end, for the sake of more people getting information (and because Ryuji seems desperate), he adds: ]

That man was from the Institute.

[sakabroto]

....

[No. Makoto worked for the Institute. She said it was safe, that they were good people. How could one of the terrorists be working there? What if that meant they were all in danger? Didn't the Institute work on all kind of shit?]

....You're serious? Do you think more of 'em work there?

[unpromising]

It's too early to tell.

[ Qrow wants to investigate the matter before telling the whole world about the ID he found. ]

Shit...

[Seriously, he has to talk to Makoto about this ASAP.]

I got a friend who works there if you need an in.

Yeah? Then maybe she can be the eyes and ears in all this, instead.

As long as it ain't too dangerous... I don't want her to get blown up in all this.
