[ Cheryl is sick. despite that, she's done her hair and makeup and dressed herself in a red silk robe. a lot of effort went into her appearance, but it does little to hide the fact that she's unwell. she looks tired. at home she was a pro at snapchat, and she holds the camera out at arms length. all that's missing is the puppy filter! ]

By now you've all heard of the great tragedy that's befallen us. I was caught right in the middle of everything, an innocent bystander in someone's very cruel plan to shake us all to the core. I don't scare easily and I don't wilt, but I could use your help in this trying time.

First: obviously i am confined to bed until I recover. You can entertain me by chatting with me and telling me your stories. Make sure they aren't boring.

And secondly: If you're able-bodied, perhaps you can avenge me. [ she pauses. smiles. ] Us. It's the right thing to do.

[ and as she ends the video: ] Hashtag Olympia Strong. [ yes, that's right. hashtag. this is Cheryl Blossom, after all. ]

Oh... oh right, of course you will. You're so brave. I couldn't be more proud.

[It can't be easy for her keeping her chin up like this when the end is near!]

No one's died from this. [ right? RIGHT? less confidently: ] Did someone tell you people are going to die??

[tummyflowers]

[He goes for reassuring, but it comes off very forced and awkward.] Oh, no. Not at all. Die? Never! You've nothing to worry about at all!

[Unless you count the Black Death. Which basically everyone dies from. And this is basically just like that.]

[sweetwater]

[ he is not selling it well, and she looks unconvinced that he's convinced. ] Peter said it would be okay. Peter's very smart.

Ah, the geek. Well, I'm sure he has good intentions. [He was the damsel-rescuing type. He must not have had in him to be straight with her.]

[sweetwater]

[ she pouts. ] You don't believe him.

[tummyflowers]

Well, I haven't met him! So, I could have completely the wrong idea about him! [It's not like he WANTS to believe she's dying, but...]

[sweetwater]

He's usually right about things. [ but... it would be very bad to be wrong about this particular situation. ] That's why I'm resting up, to give myself the best chance of being well.

Rest is always a good thing. Always. Just try and cherish your time and ah.... you know, just in general. Cherish all the time you have, which I presume can be counted in many, many years. [... or days.]

[sweetwater]

Just in case. [ right? she does not look comforted. ] That's what you do too?

Oh, always. I cherish my time left and right. I honestly can't think of a time where I wasn't cherishing the time I was currently consuming. Unless I forgot.

[In which case... he wasn't cherishing it?]

I guess no one can be perfect all the time. [ but they get pretty close. ]

Sad but true. But whatever happens, you'll be avenged. Don't you worry about that.

[Though probably not by Richard. He'll, at his very best, at least not make things too much worse.]
