I am not delusional. The lack of a country to rule puts me out of a job. But as a country is not geography, I would like to know whether any Fereldans who survived are currently out of stasis. I have no political power, but I can at least serve as an advocate in these difficult times. I know the proper channels and I'm an excellent negotiator, as you well know.

Given the lack of a Chantry authority and recent efforts made toward an independent Fereldan Circle, yes. A Fereldan mage would be my subject, with all the rights and protection that entails.

( He is. That's really all he's ever wanted, to be of the Chantry's laws and treated like a normal person. It's a shame that it had to take the destruction of Thedas to finally see that happen, but he can't say that he's really all that broken up about it. )

The Chantry's absent authority isn't going to erase all the prejudice that people harbor against my kind, but it will be a lot easier to deal with than being constantly hunted down. I'm sure those poor sods that were named as accomplices to the bombing can relate to that pretty well right about now.

I, fortunately, am not one of them, so I won't be needing to take you up on that offer but... it's very kind of you to make it.

I have to admit, I've lost touch with local Ferelden politics since I left years ago. Not that I was ever in touch with them. I do miss the dogs though. Free Marchers just don't understand.

Princess Allura, it is good to meet you. While there are a great many certainties in our lives, I still know who I am, as you know who you are. Here, I lack power or connections, but I know how to acquire them. I will never be queen again, but I can use those skills to the advantage of the refugees.
