I know this is a bit of a chaotic time for us all. With the recent chemical explosion as well as the announcement of suspected terrorists to Olympia I'm sure you're all frantically running about trying to find the few loved ones that you have. But it's during times like this that a network system such as the one we have is the most important.

If any of you are searching for someone and are unable to get in contact with them please leave a post here mentioning that. This way others can keep an eye out for them or they may even be able to contact you themselves in order to tell you they're safe.

Also if providing aid this space could be a used to mention the resources you are able to provide as well as locations that are taking in those that are sick or injured.

Finally, if any of you who happen to be involved with what's going on with the current suspected attack, please feel free to personally contact me or state your case here. Remember, you are not guilty until there is absolute proof of it. If you feel like you've been wrongly accused I will be happy to help.

Um, the other one I know is at the scene of the explosion, but she's yet to check in with me herself. She's a young girl, a teenager. Small but spirited with this laaarge side ponytail. She also wears a yellow dress usually and wears a necklace with a face on it. Usually it's blue but sometimes it can be yellow I guess? And if it makes noises then you definitely know it's her.

You don't have to call her out or anything, she's probably too absorbed in helping people out anyway. But if you could at least keep an occasional eye on her if you do see her?

[Oh boy. How to go about this? He had known that with the destruction of his world and his integration with those from other worlds that he'd be experiencing some cultural differences. But this took quite a bit of explanation.

I suppose the best way to word it is that lawyers are protectors of a sort. Someone who helps uphold the laws and justice system of the world they're from while similarly protecting those who are innocent from breaking said laws.

Protectors of the law? ... I see. It's no wonder I hadn't heard of it before. I'm only vaguely familiar with how human politics work in my home world, much less for other worlds.

But, having lawyers around sounds as though you're able to protect innocent people that way.

Well, that's the intended goal at least. We do our best with our words and knowledge to make sure all corners are turned and that all angles are looked at before anyone is punished for any sort of wrongdoing. That way we make sure with as little doubt as possible that the right people are being blamed for the crimes that are committed.

Of course, we also handle casual conflicts between people as well. Professional legal mediators I suppose is the best descriptor.

People do have a tendency to jump to conclusions -
moreso, I'm sure, when a crime is involved. Having a mediator does seem necessary.

At the same time, it does sound as though it's a complicated job.

A career that requires plenty of years of schooling and intense study, most certainly. But in the end I believe it’s worth it. I like to think that I work with a strong belief that everyone has someone on their side to believe them, at least until all evidence proves otherwise and that their is no doubt left.

Did your home have any form of legal system? Obviously lawyers didn’t seem to be a thing, but there were surely rules I’m sure.

I wasn't aware that there were schools that specifically taught someone how to do one specific job. I think that's a good way to look at things, though.

I'm not entirely too familiar with human politics, but I don't believe that we were without something like that, either.

Well at least where I'm from, everyone starts off with the same general education and then as they get older, and realize what type of work they want to apply themselves toward, they start taking courses specialized in that career path.

Ahah, but no worries. Most humans are barely aware of how their legal system works as well, save for the basic structure of it all. I don't expect you to know all the ins and outs of your own.
