[ first off: don't ask questions about the username. Bigby assumes it's subtle enough considering no one here knows him as the Big Bad Wolf, but he doesn't really... realize... the implications of the abbreviation he chose. oh well.

there's more pressing matters to attend to. ]

Not even here a goddamn month and shit goes to hell. Because of course. So much for peace.

[ on camera is a man who doesn't seem very pleased with the current chaos of the recent bombing. a moment is given to take a drag of his cigarette between words, blowing a puff of smoke straight towards whoever is watching. ]

I need information on the fugitives. Don't care if you're best friends or you've crossed paths with them once. Backgrounds, real names, affiliations, common hangouts. Also addresses on where they live. Give me a scent to work with and they'll be found.

[ another inhale of nicotine before he smothers the embers on a nearby surface. he's still as displeased as five seconds ago. ]

Also don't really care if they're in deep with this Shady Fucker or just a matter of "wrong place, wrong time". They have questions to answer one way or another. Got a problem with that? Take a wild guess on how I feel.
originallutece: there's something in that tear (shock; what's this what's this)

[She watches, and at least it's not in open-mouthed awe like someone else might. She is intrigued, but it's a contained thing, visible only in the sudden widening of her eyes. She reaches for his hand immediately, then hesitates, aware she probably ought not to just grab at him.]

Well. I'll certainly be eager for you to come prying if all your tricks are this intriguing.

[She glances up at him.]

Is there something inherently dangerous about your other form?
originallutece: (talk; come along now)

[personal profile] originallutece 2017-10-13 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
[He gets a dry look for that bit of teasing, but it's not particularly unfriendly or displeased. And then, as she takes his hand (careful to avoid touching those claws):]

You're one of the less insufferable people I've met around here. Add to the fact you're not a teenager or in your early twenties, and with a little work you might just make the list.

Are you going to tell me what thing, specifically, is so dangerous about your other form?
originallutece: an eleven is speaking (talk; all right listen up fives)

[personal profile] originallutece 2017-10-23 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[She pulls a little face at him for that eye-roll, but it's not worth picking the fight right now, not when there's more important things to focus on.]

Very well.

[Let's see . . .]

It began with an assassination attempt. A man was paid to overload one of my machines, making our-- my death an accident.

[There's no going back after that slip, but Rosalind forges on ahead. Robert isn't a secret, but she doesn't precisely want to get into him right now.]

But the machine the man chose was one that was designed to create doorways in time and space, giving me the ability to see into other worlds. So when it overloaded, it didn't kill me-- and yet it did, all at once. It scattered my cells across all the worlds, giving me the ability to not only see how every choice plays out, but to move among time and space with ease.

Explanation enough for you?
originallutece: that's really original (talk; oh another sexist remark)

[personal profile] originallutece 2017-10-25 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
[Her heart is suddenly pounding a little faster, but she ignores it. Robert is safe. Bigby might be powerful and he might be far older than her, but she's almost certain nothing can affect those asleep in the pods. No matter what tricks he has, no matter what form he might take, he won't be able to get at Robert.

So there's really no reason to fear. And really, perhaps she's got it wrong; he's hardly racing out the door with axe in hand to try and find the person she'd hinted at. ]

Powerful and dangerous are two different concepts; don't mistake one for the other.

[A beat, and then:]

Are you threatened by it?
originallutece: I'll cut you Fink don't think I won't (talk; listen here you fuck)

[personal profile] originallutece 2017-10-25 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
[Her mouth had pursed when he'd stepped forward, displeased at the intrusion but unwilling to interrupt the conversation to snap at him. And then he steps in further, looming over her, and Rosalind outright scowls. Her back arches in an attempt to keep him from touching her, but she refuses to take a step back.

What's about to happen next? She would have known once. She would have seen every single possibility, every fraction of a chance. In one reality, perhaps, he'd grab her; in another maybe he'd simply stay looming over her. In a third he might try and frighten her further, sparking a confrontation and thus seeing for himself how her powers work.

Ah, well. She doesn't have that advantage anymore, but that's all right. She'd dealt with more than her fair share of men who thought that they might intimidate her simply because they were taller or stronger or simply male. She can handle another, even if he is supernatural.

She'd leaned back as he'd drawn in, but now Rosalind straightens up. They're only a few scant inches from each other, which means he gets to see the little hint of a smirk playing about her lips as she drawls:]

You're so eager to get near me, Mr. Wolf. I'll keep an eye on you, I'll come prying into your business, what if I have to tail you . . . what's going to happen next? I should think you're about to put your hands on me in one way or another-- or do you just want a kiss?

[There's a gamble. He'll either fluster or raise the stakes further, and while she's intrigued by him (in a fair few ways, she can admit that to herself; he's handsome in a scruffy sort of way), she's not about to kiss a man she barely knows.]
originallutece: name of Fink's follow-up sex tape (talk; I'm sorry about tonight)

[personal profile] originallutece 2017-10-30 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
[Hah. Rosalind smirks, perfectly pleased with herself for this. She's absolutely no match for someone like him in sheer physical strength, but in the world of words? She still reigns supreme. Straightening up, she sets her hands behind her back and smiles up at him, perfectly condescending.]

Then keep your distance next time, Mr. Wolf. I don't take kindly to people getting too close.

[But it's no fun if he thinks she was serious. God forbid he forever think of her as the woman lusting after him. And so she soon adds:]

And don't flatter yourself. Out of all the choices I could have made, that was what would make you skitter back the fastest.

[There. That sets the record straight and neatly implies she's still got her powers of omniscience, so well done Rosalind.]
originallutece: would be what they'd call this emotion if i was 12 (happy; delightfully impudent)

[personal profile] originallutece 2017-10-30 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
As if a mere kiss from you would truly get me to, in your words, shut up. It'd take far more than that.

[It'd take a goddamn miracle, frankly, because Rosalind has never taken well to being told to go silent.

But though that's challenging, she doesn't say it as nastily as she might. It's more teasing than anything, as Rosalind tips her head at him, still smirking, and rests her hips back against the wall.]

Now, then. Given I did answer your question on how my disappearance works, you owe me an answer. What's so dangerous about your other form?
originallutece: you have to DO things (talk; you can't just wish)

[personal profile] originallutece 2017-10-30 06:08 am (UTC)(link)
[It's incredibly tempting to keep up that bickering conversation. It's been ages since she's gotten to properly fight with someone, and she can't deny she'd like to take it a bit further. He is attractive, that much is clear, and god knows she wouldn't mind proving him wrong on that kissing bit.

But there's such a thing as being too eager, and so she lets it drop. Besides: his answer is intriguing.]

Elaborate.

[One day, she'll learn to say please. Rosalind comes forward, perching on the other end of the couch, pure interest in her gaze.]

What size are they? I assume they're more beastly in turn . . . is it simply the abilities of a normal wolf, combined with human intelligence, or can you do more? Well, obviously you can in some capacity if you're immortal, but beyond that, I mean.
originallutece: but not for long i promise you (talk; PUZZLED)

[personal profile] originallutece 2017-10-31 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
[She waves a hand impatiently, neatly betraying her priorities. She still wants the money, but this is far more interesting, and honestly? She'll suffer the loss if it means she gets to hear more about Bigby's powers.]

How is a wolf worse than a werewolf?

[A beat, and then she adds:]

And what would it take for you to give me a practical demonstration?
originallutece: (rebecca-274_zps362efeea (2))

[personal profile] originallutece 2017-10-31 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
[Yeah, she definitely walked into that one. Rosalind eyes him for a long few seconds, her expression decidedly unimpressed. She's not going to lose, Bigby.]

Is that a guarantee?
originallutece: one day they'll get stuck that way and i'll never have to expend effort again (talk; ROLL MY EYES TO THE CEILING)

ros just denies everything anyway it's fine

[personal profile] originallutece 2017-11-03 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, no. Make a deal and stick to it, Mr. Wolf, none of this depends nonsense.

[She tips her head, waiting expectantly. A beat, and then, with far too much arrogance:]

Besides: it would be one kiss. You're guaranteed to be left wanting.
originallutece: playing with a blowtorch and doing dabs seems like a terrible combination but you do you (talk; uncertain)

[personal profile] originallutece 2017-11-03 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
[Her mouth draws into something that might, in someone who isn't Rosalind Lutece, be called a pout. It's not directed at him; it's just that she wants what she wants, and she doesn't take well to flat denial.

But she'd hardly be who she is if she simply stamped her foot each time she didn't get her way. And though this had started as a hypothetical, she's starting to think he's quite serious.

Ten seconds, hm? Well, it won't be the worst ten seconds she's ever spent. Far from it, frankly.]

I'll keep that exchange in mind.

[She will see that final form, she's determined. But for now . . . for now, she edges closer, til she's in range of him, and cocks her head.]

You're quite serious?

[Swear to god, if she kisses him and he doesn't show her what she wants to see, she'll be pissed.]
originallutece: what it is you're doing down there? (flirt; are you 100% certain you know)

[personal profile] originallutece 2017-11-03 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
[This is, objectively, kind of stupid. Robert's going to come back and she'll have to tell him that she kissed a man (a wolf-man) just to see him transform, and he's going to laugh at her, and he'll be right to, because this is stupid.

But she is curious. There's nothing that tempts her more than a mystery half-solved, and he's dangling one in front of her right now. And he is rather attractive, in that rough sort of way, and-- well, the fact of the matter is, it's hardly the worst thing she's ever done for information.

His lack of mobility makes for a bit of a problem, because of course he's not going to make this easy. Of course he's going to be damned difficult about the very thing he'd propositioned. Rosalind frowns at him for a moment, letting him know what happens next is his fault, before her hand darts up between them and grabs his tie. He's so bloody tall, which is entirely unnecessary, it's hideous, and so she pulls him in closer to her, leaning up at the same time.

It's a damn good kiss. She's spent twenty years with Robert; she knows how to kiss a man. And it's a kiss that's edged with a touch of aggression, because she shan't be some wilting flower about this. She's pressed up against him, her free hand thrown over him to keep her balance, and god, but that sure is a lot of hard muscle pressing up against her, isn't it? That's . . . boy. She isn't so addled she'll slide her fingers over him and confirm that fact, but good god.]
