Sooooo.

Here's a bit of an awkward question:

How many of you guys have someone you don't exactly like holed up in one of those pods? And I don't just mean like "wow that guy's a dick" I'm talking more along the lines of "this guy is a GIANT dick and he will definitely try to kill us [ read: him ] when he wakes up."

Is there any way to...I don't know, pull the plug out of the pods? or something? Do you think we'd get in trouble for that?

[ A little casual accidentally-on-purpose murder never hurt anyone right? Like especially when it's for the greater good, which this totally is. ]

But you're lucky. You can stop while you're still ahead because of cooler heads than yours.

It's not like I go around doing it a lot okay? It was an accident before. Mostly.

I am concerned with the pods here. Have you already tampered with them in any way?

Just tell me. I won't ask who you are or what you did. I just don't want anyone to die.

Whoa what? No no no, I haven't touched anything. I mean I thought about it but then I figured I might as well ask here and see if anyone already tried. Save myself the headache. You know? Be economical about the effort I'm putting out.

[valcurie]

( well, now that that's cleared up!!! she's still not gonna relax. )

Ah, of course. Who doesn't want to be economical about the effort they put into murdering someone else? That only makes sense.

[rhygret]

Well yeah if you have to do it you might as well save yourself whatever trouble you can right? You don't need to punish yourself. Doing it already sucks.

It's almost as if it's something you know you shouldn't be doing, isn't it?

[rhygret]

Wow okay. Look it's not like I WANT to go around doing this alright? This guy would do way worse than knock off one person who kind of sort of really deserved it if he woke up.

[valcurie]

I don't think you're doing a very good job of convincing either of us this isn't about you wanting something. Even if he's the genocidal leader of a children's army, that doesn't mean that taking his life should be easy. Some deaths are justifiable, I won't deny that, but killing someone still makes you a murderer. And you clearly don't wish to deal with all the consequences that come with your actions.

So what is it? Did he do something to you? Did he kill someone close to you?

All of the above? Or well. Not that second part, not to me specifically. But he's done that to a lot of people who aren't...me. It's complicated alright?

Getting rid of this guy is anything but easy alright. Last time it took and entire planet, a bunch of bandits, and a group of like...super-powerful and super-cool mercenaries to take him out. I'd like to skip all of that this time around, thanks.

All right, so it took the resources and heroes of an entire planet to take him out; if he's that resilient, what makes you think you can actually kill him in a pod? What if your attempt at something which worked for someone else, is not enough to take him out, and instead wakes him up?

Have you tried talking to the Orbiters? If they were able to get him in, they may be your best bet to keep him in there. If what they say is true than it would be in their best interest as well to keep him contained so that he could not undo all of their work.

Because he's asleep...? That's the best time to do it right? It's not like he'll just snap awake and try to strangle me or anything if he's inside the chamber still.

It sounds from what other people are saying like you have to wait until they wake up or they knock you out and remove you from the area.

How do you know that, for sure? Would you be willing to take responsibility for the consequences of accidentally waking him up?

But have you talked to them? Have you made an effort of your own?

[rhygret]

I'm not telepathic so...no? These guys don't exactly have inboxes I can send a message to.

It seems they are focussed on other matters, then. Like keeping everyone, including anyone you do care for, safe.

I think you should reconsider your priorities.

Yeah yeah. Looks like they don't care as much once they wake up sooooo... Looks like I'm going to deal with that.

[ He's not really sure what he'd call the mysterious "Angie" who seems to know almost as much about Jack as he does. ]

You are aware that you're not the only one awake, correct?

And not the only one who has a stake in this place's future not being destroyed by someone who would ruin it for whatever agenda he may have?

Well then more people should be on board with getting rid of this guy right? I mean some are, but there's a lot of people who come from some really strange worlds out there.

[valcurie]

I think there are those here among us who could easily subdue this man in the event that he did wake up.

( She's seen some of the displays of her power herself. Like. Levels beyond, 'oh hey this guy can punch down skyscraper with his fist.' )

Okay but there's a difference between "subdued" and "dead and gone for good." You know that right? One is a loooot more permanent.

[valcurie]

Of course. The former is one of the stages that lead to the latter.

They usually happen at the same time where I'm from.
