[Alex is sitting somewhere, and she's got a mug of coffee in front of her, along with a note pad and a pen. She smiles, but there's an undercurrent of nervousness in it because while multiple people have told her she could be on television, Alex's preferred medium has always been radio and podcasts. She's not quite sure what to do with her hands (they'd normally be on the control box) when she speaks so she picks up a pen and rolls it between her fingers.]

Hi! Um. Like a lot of you I'm a [kidnapee?] refugee and I need to find a job. Back home I worked as a reporter, and I'm hoping that I'll be able to use my skills doing the same thing here. I'd give you some references but I'm afraid that they probably wouldn't do you any good anyway now. [And she doesn't want to explain either what a podcast is, or how hers won a best of Apple award in 2015. So for now just a reporter will work.]

But my name is Alex Reagan and I've been working in the business since college, so I've got a fair amount experience. Thanks?

[Stupid camera, stupid being uncomfortable on camera, and Alex just turns it off with little preamble.]

yeah, i think there is a lot we could share. maybe itd help a few of us, too... i am trying to get it together as soon as possible, but thats easier said than done.

i was a photographer back home, so this isnt exactly my expertise. so i would love the help, even if i cant help on the monetary front.

I'm talking to someone who is worried about jobs for us, so that seems like it could be a good place to start? Maybe also something like 'have you seen this person?' too? So people could find someone if they didn't know they were here.

thats a great idea, a way to try and find people you are missing from home. especially with so many people waking up at once.

Well, they want find people jobs. Or want us to help find people jobs I guess, even though it's not really our area of expertise.

And it could help if there's someone from home who's not exactly someone you'd like seeing again either.

that might be the best way we can help w job connections

I hope not too, but given how many people seem to have bad things going on in their worlds...

broadcasting that sort of stuff without evidence could be really bad, though... we could end up helping the wrong person
