[Here is one disgruntled English lady. You might have seen various shades of this annoyance after the pods plummeted to the earth, checking for injuries (maybe on you, personally), or more recently at the Sanctuary collecting blood. Apparently, the latter is why she's deemed it necessary to post.]

Thought I'd drop a quick word, given some of my experiences since we've all come together.

Now, I understand we all come from various worlds and times, with vastly differentiating forms of medicine, but I'm sure it's safe to say that bloodletting is not the preffered sort of medicine people want here. I don't care if someone here handed you a knife, of if that's what you're used to doing. That is not how you collect blood. You use a needle, and hopefully it's held by someone that knows how to find a vein. If you'd like to learn, I'd be happy to teach you.

Secondly? Your blood, assuming you're... human, or what the biologically average human is, is going to be used by anyone who needs it, rich or poor. The blood of a king is not going to make a beggar on the street suddenly somehow contend for a throne that doesn't even bloody exist in this world.

[There's a pause in which she almost calls a certain someone named Richard out, but she's a better woman than that. Just barely.

There's a flicker of a forced smile.]

A king who doesn't want to help the people is not much of a king.

[ a statement, rather than judgement, though her tone is much like it regardless — she has known many kings, good and bad ones. the good ones always cared for their people, their well-being. ]

We are very lucky to have your expertise, Claire. I was there, too... the knives did not look very safe.

I don't know if the man I met would be able to help himself out of a box, so in this case it may be best.

[That second part has her making a face. She doesn't like the idea of Sansa and knives.]

The next time you're at the clinic for anything, please, come find me.

He does not sound like much of a man, either.

[ she's somewhat curious, though... as to who is a king that stupid. ]

You're very kind. I will keep the offer in mind, but you don't have to worry about what happened. The one who drew blood from me did it very well, I barely felt a thing. I stayed to help with the others, after.

[She shouldn't laugh at that--and she doesn't--but she looks like she wants to.]

Did you? Did you enjoy it?

Being stabbed with a needle? [ her voice has that distinct really? quality. ] Hardly. But I thought they needed some help making sure no one fainted at the sight of the knives.

[She stares, then laughs.]

Not the needles, the helping. At the clinic.

[Have you noticed a theme here, Sansa?]

Oh, [ she breathes, ducking her head as she realizes her mistake. she laughs lightly, too, amused and embarrassed at once. ]

Forgive me, I misunderstood. ... yes, I liked it. I was able to help some who were uncomfortable with the situation.

If you've yet to find employment and the sight of blood doesn't trouble you [they're women, it shouldn't], I would suggest the Sanctuary. Extra hands are always needed there even on a typical day.

I work part-time in the Silk Wyrms, Lady Koralle was kind enough to recommend me... but I would not mind some more work. Especially when it is for a good cause.

[ that... and being a healer seems like it would be useful, knowing her brothers and their tendency to charge into battle. ]

I'm glad to hear it. Of course, don't spread yourself too thin. This place still is a lot to take in.

[She knows not everyone is like her. Claire thrives on throwing herself into work. Much easier not to think about the insanity of their situations that way.]

You don't need to be concerned for me, lady Claire. I like to keep busy.

[ it's a very matter-of-fact answer, but she wonders if Claire doesn't understand the real reason — as long as she is doing something.... it is easier, to take her mind off of the things she can't escape while in the house. ]

Even better. I'm very much the same. I was losing my mind before the job opportunity came up.

[She would have found something, but it's always been healing that's been her calling.]
