Have you already had an unfortunate encounter with an unusual creature? Something that lured you in with the voice of family or friends? A thieving sepht making off with your valuables? Did something injure you? I would like to hear of it.
This is a bit more unusual, I suspect, but I would also like to hear of it if someone here from your world has memories that do not line up with your own. Not mere cases of he-said-she said, but something more... verifiable. Perhaps one of you bears a scar that the other knows should not exist?

That's why I asked instead of assuming. I'm a gentleman like that.

[ Not that she would have any respect for a gentleman not willing to punch the occasional throat. ]
Did you have something other than potential anger to offer?

Unless you wish to count magic.
[ In which case her hands may qualify. ]

[SO BLUNT.]
Very unlike. A repeating crossbow don't blow a neat little hole in someone's torso, and it runs out of ammo faster.
Also unless you're a frickin' big game hunter, nobody uses anything like that where I'm from.

Why limit yourself when you can blow holes in the torsos of your enemies. How large is a laser rifle? Are you not limited in ammunition for it now?

And lasers just recharge their power cells after awhile. You can't beat 'em. The only thing bullets have over them is the sweet, sweet sound of gunfire.
