so i don't know if anyone else has noticed, but it looks like there's a definite trend of people going back into stasis without any warning
a few people i knew from back home woke up and just ended up... disappearing out of nowhere and returning back to their pods on the station
has anyone else had something like that happen to them?
maybe it's just me and i'm cursed with bad luck or something
an explanation for WHY it happens would be nice, too
not that i think it's going to make anyone worry less
i haven't had the chance to talk to darma about it, but maybe someone else has
[ not that clary is entirely certain she would trust darma's reasoning at this point, but... well, it's worth a shot. ]
uh, on a lighter note
i realize we already have a makeshift fight club in the works, but i'm looking for regular sparring partners
preferably someone who can't actually throw me through a wall and doesn't want to repeatedly punch me in the face, but i'm not picky
i figure it can't hurt to add a few new things to my skill set

I don't believe any of us expected this when we were brought here. [ Or anything at all. ] But we've held your own, collectively, which is a good thing. And with the initial talk of murder in an open mode of communication, I thought the varying opinions and temperaments might evolve into an even worse scenario.
[ Luckily, they've all come out of that phase, unscathed. Well, probably most of them. ]
Then if you're agreeable, I'd like to be able to join you.

in my experience, though, even people that disagree tend to get along when there's a common goal in mind.
[ and in this case, it's their adaptation, coming together as a group. they might be olympic citizens, but clary knows they're still refugees — still outcasts in their own way, and the only people that can understand what one another have experienced with the destruction of their worlds. ]
i don't mind at all. i'll add you to the list of merry adventurers.

It makes me wonder how difficult it might be to wake someone up, compared to making them sleep.
[ A food for thought. There were over a hundred of them that were brought down here, but there were still millions of pods in the station. The ratio is not exactly proportionate. ]
Well then — my name is Edmund Pevensie, I'd be more than pleased to accompany you on your adventure.

[ she can sympathize, far more than she'd like to. her temper is one easily sparked, and knowing valentine could bring his ideals and propaganda to this world is enough to consider the merit in it. even so, she stands by what she's said: it's a slippery slope, and none of them should be taking into matters in their own hands, with the exception of acting in defense of themselves or others. ]
we didn't all get shaken out of our pods at the same time, so it stands to reason the others could trickle into the city, right? i was only on the station for a few days before we were literally thrown out of the sky.
i think the former might take more out of darma than trusting the technology she has to keep everyone safe in their pods. then again, that kind of magic isn't my area of expertise. neither is the technology.
[ but she can, and will, make some educated guesses. ]
clary fairchild at your service. [ of course that introduction is mostly tongue-in-cheek. ] it's good to meet you, edmund. discounting the circumstances, obviously. i'll add you to the list.

But I suppose we have trusted the Orbiters this far. [ For better or for worse, they were saved from that storm. Whatever might have happened to them is now an unknown, and Edmund (and the rest of them) can only now look into the future, even if it means facing that unknown and breaking down Darma's doors in order to have answers to so many of their questions. ] I can only hope that we can trust them still, in this situation.
It's good to meet you as well, Clary. Let me know when we have planned a time and place to meet with each other.
