so i don't know if anyone else has noticed, but it looks like there's a definite trend of people going back into stasis without any warning
a few people i knew from back home woke up and just ended up... disappearing out of nowhere and returning back to their pods on the station
has anyone else had something like that happen to them?
maybe it's just me and i'm cursed with bad luck or something
an explanation for WHY it happens would be nice, too
not that i think it's going to make anyone worry less
i haven't had the chance to talk to darma about it, but maybe someone else has
[ not that clary is entirely certain she would trust darma's reasoning at this point, but... well, it's worth a shot. ]
uh, on a lighter note
i realize we already have a makeshift fight club in the works, but i'm looking for regular sparring partners
preferably someone who can't actually throw me through a wall and doesn't want to repeatedly punch me in the face, but i'm not picky
i figure it can't hurt to add a few new things to my skill set

then again, sleeping through the weird shit would just be permanently sleeping beauty-ing, at this rate.
i don't think there's anything BUT weird shit going on here, so waking up to "normal" is pretty impossible.
still, misery loves company and all.

How many do you have up there?
no subject
[ because that's... a slightly longer list of recognizable faces, but having enemies present and floating around in the pods on thesa station seems to be an unfortunate thread of commonality here. ]
if it's the latter? five.
some of them shouldn't even be here, but i guess this place defies logic in every way.
no subject
No kidding.
What do you mean 'here'?
no subject
it shouldn't be possible, but apparently? it is.
no subject
[ OF COURSE SHE ISNT ]
How do we get back up there? [ she's been pretty drunk. she knows 'teleportation' but the finer details of that message were lost due to its extremely creepy method of delivery. ]
no subject
[ what gave you that idea, clary. ]
this is going to sound really weird but you only have to think about going up there really hard and abracadabra, you're there
[ at least jessica can now figure out if drunk teleportation is possible. clary, on the other hand, takes a moment to consider jess's reaction before sending another message. she's either pissed or astonished, but better safe than sorry to assume that could lead to some recklessness. ]
we're not supposed to tamper with the pods, by the way
i've heard the orbiters forbid it
just letting you know so you don't get thrown out into space if you try to break them apart
no subject
The dead ones how did they die? [ Is that an invasive question? Is #notsorry an old meme yet? ]
no subject
the ones from my world were murdered.
[ or just the one, not the ones, but the wound is still too fresh to feel comfortable relaying the intimate details. ]
no subject
[ Only one of a plethora of curses running through her head and out of her mouth. ]
Thanks for the info I gotta go kill somebody [ aGAIN. MotherfUCKERRRR THIS PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE ]
no subject
[ translation: "what the hell have i done" and "why is everyone here so murder happy". ]
i don't know if you missed the whole murder post fiasco but word is we can only kill people when they're off of the station, not in their pods
[ then again, this 'jjones' has already been warned of consequences and doesn't seem to very much care about the authority's word on it, but it's worth a try. ]
no subject
WHAT word? Did somebody ask that?
no subject
give her a few minutes to scroll and scroll and scroll even more before this and this appear as link attachments on jessica's phone — evidence for the sake of confirming that clary isn't, in fact, making any of this up. ]
there's practically already a murder support group thanks to that
[ inappropriate time to be cheeky, but that's the name of clary's game. ]
no subject
So you think I sound like one of those guys [ That's kinda very fair, is what someone else who is not a hypocrite would say ]
no subject
i think you sound like you're going to screw yourself over. just figured you'd want all of the facts on the table before you make a decision that could get your head chopped off.
no subject
If they make it public you can "told you so" me in person
private.
but there's not as much appeal to it when you're saying it to someone who's going to be potentially headless
[ jjones is admittedly a stranger, yes, but clary isn't fond of the idea of public execution — or execution in general, for that matter, especially if it's the punishment for a crime that may be somewhat warranted. murdering someone entrapped in their pod does strike her as somewhat cowardly, but whether that's the truth of this particular situation is still open for debate; she isn't rushing to make judgements, and her prying is just as tentative.
at least she's slapped a private filter on the conversation. no need to air this dirty laundry to everyone. ]
why can't you just go after whoever it is after they're off the station?
no subject
He'll have taken someone before then [ For insurance. Maybe several people -- fuck, maybe the whole station if his powers are still amped, and then she's already lost. The reps would never allow the possibility but she's in worst case scenario mode and won't be shifting back to rational thought for a while. ]
no subject
sounds like a coward to me.
i get that trusting them when it comes to something like that is almost possible, but darma was powerful enough to bring us here. she could, and probably would, kill him herself if he harms anyone while he's on the station.
no subject
I can't take the chance. [ If she'd known about this when she woke up, she would have made his permanent death a priority along with Trish's safety. This is already on her. She's the only one she believes can do it, and given how little faith she has to ration, keeping that for herself leaves less than nothing for Darma. ]
no subject
[ i can't take the chance are the words of an individual already committed to what they intend to do. there's no point in arguing, clary knows; she's made her own points, even tried to dissuade it, but she isn't going to stand in the way. the orbiters will intervene before tampering with pods occurrs if their word is to be trusted,
and — on a more personal level — clary knows what she's like when she makes a choice: stubborn, relentless, single-minded.
there's no point in trying to invent any other argument. ]
