Hello,
How is everyone? Are you all sleeping well?

[ After at least three rough drafts, and one peer review by her (illiterate) roommate, Juvia has finally arrived onto the network with a post she can be proud of. ]

Juvia has been thinking. Are there any stories you all like?
Or, maybe, things from your home you want to share. It could be anything. Your favorite food, person, book, or place.
I will share something to start: Juvia would bring her guild, Fairy Tail, if she could.

Thank you

Luckily, the romantic story I had in mind has a bit of heroism in it as well. It's a story from my people, as told by my father:

Our scholars say that in the distant past, Zora's Domain had a king with no special talent for the art of war. What he lacked in skill with a blade, he made up for in love for his people, and especially love for his queen. One day, news reached the king of a horde of monsters gathering in the Zodobon Highlands. The king steeled himself for war to protect his people, but the queen knew how ill suited for the task he was. Worried for his life, she wove one of her own scales into his armor, hoping that her love would protect him in battle.

It seemed for a time that the tide of battle favored the Zora and that all would make it safely home. But the cunning Lizalfos general saw an opening and seized it, driving the king's forces into a corner. Just when the general's sword was ready to crash down upon the king, a miracle took place. An errant sunbeam reflected from the scale on his armor blinded the Lizalfos, stopping the deathblow from falling. This was the chance the king needed to rally his forces and turn the tide, taking down the general and securing victory.

This came to be known as the Miracle of the White Scale, a scale that only female Zora possess. It was this miracle that began the tradition of Zora princesses crafting armor for their future husbands.

[you know

in retrospect

she should've seen this question coming. It doesn't make it hurt much less though.

I did. But, unfortunately, I didn't ever get the chance to offer it to him myself. Our duties took us away from each other, I'm afraid. He still received it eventually, however, and it proved useful to him.

That's all I could really hope for, so I'm not unhappy.

[ow.]

That's very kind of you to say. If I ever get the chance to see him again--if he ever wakes from the station--perhaps I could ask him.

I was able to see him wearing it though, just once. When he's wearing it, it makes me feel as though I'm still by his side, protecting him, even when I can't be there in person to help him.

We weren't meant to be, but so long as he's happy and taken care of, I'm content.

I'm afraid this romantic story didn't have quite a happy ending. I apologize.

Yes, you're exactly right. He'll wake up one day, and we'll be able to speak again. I have to look forward to that day and know it will come. No losing hope.

I'd almost forgotten that there was still hope left there. Thank you for reminding me. It would be nice to spend time with him again, like we used to. This place is rather peaceful compared to where we came from, so it'd be a pleasant change to just enjoy the tranquility.

I feel I have something to look forward to now.

Is there someone you might be waiting for too?
