With more time on his hands, he was able to turn to helping the rest of the survivors, especially those that he had spoken to. Whatever reason they had been brought here, they needed to band together to survive.]

I know not everyone present has had to learn combat or come from places that are generally peaceful. Whether or not we stay in this city or travel somewhere more dangerous, it is wise to learn how to protect yourselves.

For those that have an interest, I practice and train in the courtyard among the other guards. If you want to wield a blade or understand basic defense, come and meet me there. I will teach and train you.

It has served me well in the battles I fought. I know there are other weapons from other worlds. I feel more comfortable with my sword.

Have you considered learning to use a gun? You might find it's a little uncomfortable when your opponent just shoots you where you're standing.

Long swords, bastard swords, daggers. Magic...is different in my world. I have faced creatures that are thought to be magic and may have been created through magic, but none who can wield it themselves.

I am a mage. I often carry a staff with me. There is a blade at one end, not unlike a dagger, and I am comfortable using it as I must when enemies are within arm's reach. Enemies in my own world where often known entities, but this place holds more mystery. I would like to be well prepared and perhaps more precise with what I have on hand should something nullify or affect my abilities.
